The following are the issues I'm currently experiencing with my TV.
There is a concave image(middle part of the picture bending in and the outer ends bending out)
The red-blue-green colors were separated so it looked like 3 images at once.
I understand that you've recomanded replacing both the convergence ic when experiencing this problem and refer a webpage to purchase the parts from. Do you think this will solve the blury image and is it something that I could do myself or should I simply take it to a tech and have it repaired there.
If you can solder it should be an easy fix for about 50.00 You need two Convergence ICs STK392-560 the link I am posting has replacement ICs and provide free tech support by instant messageing as well as instalation instructions with pics on how to change the ICs. A repair shop will charge between 4 and 6 hundred to do the job which is about an hour. I would also suggest getting about 6 of the 4.7ohm 1/2watt resistors also as sony will sometimes blow a couple with the ICs but the repair tech will help you find the open one if there are any.
