Several minutes into game play my X Box 360 is telling me that my GTA 4 disc is unclean, and unable to read. The machine also tells me in the same satement, to wipe the disc down with a soft towel/rag. There are no visible scars or scratches on the disc, other then one small blemmish in the middle of the disc, about the size of 1 mm(1/8inch).Would that be enough to bring the entire game to a screaching hault?
Also is it possible that my machine scratched this disc, considering it hasn't left my machine since the date of purchase, April 29th?

I have the same problem buty only on gta4 xbox 360.. we don't have a hard drive only a memory stick thing and notice small blemishes appearing on the disc. it freezes, stops and starts sound continues but the picture and everything else kind of locks... its the second disc we have had from the same supplier.. Thought it was the x-box 360 itself but other games play with no problems whatsoever.

sorry ! here is some further info.
I have the same issue so i bought got a new xbox360, the same thing still happened, i bought New disc, the same thing happened but i was using the same HDD on both systems, then i got a memory card, transfered my profile to it, now the game plays fine. i also got a new HDD and it being working fine ever since.
