Kodak EasyShare Z950 Digital Camera Logo
Posted on Aug 29, 2010

My z950 is not reading my memory card. I got it a couple of weeks ago and it was working fine. I took my memory card out to print pictures and when I put it back in, the screen keeps saying internal memory full and showing the pictures on the internal memory. I keep taking it out and putting it back in and turning the camera on and off, but it's not working.

Is it possible to recover missing pictures?

I don't think those picture can be recovered as those might have stored in the temporary memory for a while and every time he took another pic it might have over-written in the previous one..

Better remove the Micro SD card and try to connect to PC and check if its available in the card

My Dad took pictures at my Graduation a couple of weeks ago but the batteries were low so he kept losing power. According to my Dad, everytime he took a picture he saw it on the display screen yet day

STOP
do not write anything to your camera's removable memory card, otherwise you willt re-write the files and permanently lose your videos and pictures.
Install this recovery software called Tenorshare Photo Recovery.
From inside the software,navigate/choose your memory card letter( "D", "F", "G" ... ? ) and scan the section where it says "Raw Recovery", "Videos" or "Photos" . Scan the memory card and Set the destination folder(folder where recovered files will be saved) somewhere on your computer.
BTW, you can get this recovery software from
Tenorshare Photo Recovery for Windows
Tenorshare Photo Recovery for Mac
It will show you thumbnails for your pictures that it found on your memory card.
WARNING:there will be lots of recovered files,do not set the destination folder as your DESKTOP,otherwise you'll end up having 100000 files on your desktop... = total mess :)

My Kodak Easy Share z950 is not working on window 7. any ideas?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Erasing the pictures using the computer is the problem. Your camera does not recognize the card anymore. If your pics are safely on your computer, format the card in the camera to get it working again.

The card may have become corrupted. Use a separate card reader and download any pictures from the card. Then, insert it into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

Getting Pictures Off My Camera and Onto My Computer

It sound like you have a problem with your memory card.
But I would try buying a card reader as well. Whether it turns out to be the card or not.
there are alot things that can go wrong when trying to use your camera to transfer the images instead of a card reader. a card reader shouldn't cost you more than 20 dollars.
It will also make transferring your images faster.
in the camera when you hit the review button do the images show up on the lcd screen of the camera?

Hope that works,
Caleb
