No. However, any photo editing program can convert a color picture to a black-and-white picture. Doing so on a computer gives you much more control over factors like contrast and brightness than a camera can.

The SP 800UZ doesn't have a black-and-white or sepia mode. You can convert a color picture to black-and-white or sepia by editing the picture on the camera. In general, you're better off converting to black-and-white or sepia using photo editing software on a computer rather than doing it on the camera. The computer will give you much better control over things like brightness and contrast.

No it does not naturally but you should be able to take a normal picture and send it through any simple photo editing software. Gimp is a great editing program that is free to use, and you should be able to make any image you want black and white.

you can't shoot in black and white but you can take a picture and change it to black and white.after taking your picture use the color edit option at playback.arrow right or left to choose the picture then press the ok button.use the right and left arows again to select desired color and press the ok button again.this will save a seperate image copy of you original only in black and white.

Hi,
The black and white screen problem means the lens sensor is spoiled due to over exposure to heat. Its better to give it to olympus service centre. If your camera is under warranty period its well and good they will replcae the lense sensor for free of cost.

I have had my Olympus FE-210 for about 2 1/2 years just recently it started to display an all black screen after I took pictures and like many of you I would turn it off and back on just to get 1 picture out. After testing it over and again I may have solved the problem: First: remove all of the pictures and memory card from the camera Second: go into the menu and find the reset button it will then display that the camera will return to default(factory setting) after I did this I was able to take over 35 continuous pictures using every setting and scene setting the camera has If this doesn't work I would suggest buying a new camera Hopes this helps!!

I had the same prob. go to settings and scroll down to the tab that says color click on it then scroll down to the tab that says change then click on the black and white tab then hit save

A monochromatic subject is taken in B/W colors. When "White board" is selected, letters written on the white board are clearly read on the taken picture. The same is for "Black board". If letters are not clearly taken selecting "White board" or "Black board", use the exposure compensation.
