We have a LGHD25000ER window unit. It's on a 220 line. It was working fine until last night. When you plug it in the G.F.I. on it's line from the air conditioner it pops instantley. We have already assurtained that it is not our house line nor our breaker box.

Hi,
There has to be a shorted wire in the Air Conditioner then....the GFI is suposed to do that if it senses a short anywhere in the circuit and if it is happening when the air is plugged in then it must be in there....

Take the surge supressor off the unit, or it better be a good one, and its best not to have it plugged into any thing, just straight into the plug in, and your unit is 14,000 btus

Air worked fine all last night and his morning.

if the air comes on for a short time and then turns off for 15-30 minutes, the overload protection inside the compressor is shutting down to protect the compressor. this can be caused by blocked supply or return vents, improper charge, bad valves in the compressor, and a multitude of other things. the problem will have to be corrected first.

Colored vertical lines on monitor

Have you unplugged the power cord to the LCD? Let it sit for a minute, then try it. ALWAYS buy a UPS and plug any computer devices into it. Doesn't have to be big, a $50 unit will protect it from dangerous voltage surges.

2 weeks ago one of my units stopped working properly. It got warm during the night even though I heard the unit running. I shut it off and called for repair service. They changed the thermostat and it...

sounds like the coils inside the air handler/furnace are freezing up. likely cause is the freon charge is incorrect (probably undercharged). it may have been correct when the tech did the work but some may have leaked out. it is slightly possible too that the system is overcharged. you should have the system pressure verified, and then have it checked for leaks.

Samsung window air conditioner model aw05ncm7 icing up not cooling

After I opened the front of the unit and discovered it full of ice, I left the unit off until it defrosted, so to speak, after the ice had melted, I turned the unit back on to see what happened. It is working fine now, I'm not sure why it iced up, if this is normal or not, but after it melted the problem was solved.
