Glass turntable in tricity tmc209 says "microwave only" What do I use for convection or combi cooking? Does turntable still need to rotate for convection cooking?

GE provides a website which offers owner's manuals. This is the link: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/literature.htm . You will need to enter the model number for your microwave/convection oven to find, save, and print the manual.

Most turntables can be rrmoved..just pull up on it and it should come.out easily..
If it's not there, it is essentially "turned off"

Tri City Bendix is now part of Electrolux. They do not have manuals on line for this product as yet but you should be able to request one using this link:

It does seem odd that this Combi Microwave unit has been in the market since Nov 2009 and there still are not any downloadable manuals on-line.

i had that problem. the solution is glass. my turntable is not glass and microwave popcorn must rest on glass to pop. just place a glass dish upside down and cook it on that.

You can order a turntable of off eBay and as for the other tais a trial and error thing you will just have to mess with it microwaves vary

This may be due to the microwave section not working. Check the high voltage diode if it is ok, replace the Magneton.

That particular skillet is just too heavy a load for the turntable system to handle.

I would suggest a lighter skillet or a different container, otherwise, the motor or shaft or both will be damaged.

It is of course perfectly okay to put metal in a microwave (after all, that's what they're made of!) but you just have to do it only according to the instructions in the owner's manual.

And as you know, metal in convection mode poses no problem at all.

You just need to use a lighter or different container.

My Advantium was arching at the turntable. Replaced the turntable roller assembely (that hold the metal or glass plate) and the arching went away.
