We have a radio shack mobile cb radio given to us and was wondering if it's analog or digital. the only number on the front is trc-447. does it matter if it's one or the other? also have a 29 ltd classic by cobra and the same question goes. jo ann

I MIGHT BE WRONG BUT I THINK THE $() ALREADY HAS AN ADJUSTMENT ON THE FRONT OF THE RADIO ITS CALLED THE MIC GAIN THIS CONTROL SHOULD LET YOU ADJUST THE LEVEL WITHOUT GOING INSIDE THE RADIO

did you buy this in its own packaging or was it given to you.If you bought it there should be a diagram as to how to install it.

Radio shack doesn't list that radio for having a manual but there is one for the trc 485

1= Audio=white
2=rx=black
3=tx=red
4=nc
5=shield=shield
6=nc

this is one of those radios where the only one that works is the original.

A great mic is the RK56 $39.99+tax in Temple, TX on Hwy 95.. And comes with a 4pin for cobras but can be wired for any radio

According to the service manual for the TRC-447, the only adjustment is for "power" which is #L205. The only other step in the transmitter alignment is for the "S" meter.
On the Cobra, VR4 is AMC, L14,L13,L12 is AM power.
