Hi, I have a Hotpoint Condensor tumble dryer, model TDC62, with sensor drying. On the drum there is a metal circular disc with a white plastic edging, I think it's a sensor but not sure. It has come away from the drum. I thought it could be screwed back into the hole but it doesn't catch on anything. Any ideas?

It is either a bearing on the back of the drum itself or it could be the belt tensioner roller creating a squeel. What kind of sound is it making?

I would check the cycling thermostat, the hi limit, the moister sensor, control board lastly

hi make sure heater element is not touching back of dryer causing a short or break on wire catching casing

first take off the top then remove the back most tumble dryers dont have a removable front pannel

Either dryer element has failed, thermostat for drying or the drying condenser fan not working.

There are two heating elements and the top one is for drying.
