Water button sticking

Did you check your water valve under your sink.could have been a minor mistake of turning the Handel the wrong way.

replace the ptc overload relay located on the compressor in the lower rear of the unit,by unplugging the component after removing the spring wire that holds it onto the compressor,replace it along with the capacitor if equipped and re-install in reverse procedure,this part is what powers the compressor and protects it too

why is my water dispenser on the inside of my double door Maytag frig freezing up?

Defrost problem: 3 components. Defrost Heater. Timer (circuit board or motorized) & Thermostat.
Remove cover on the inside back wall (usually 6 screws). Note frost pattern. (bottom of evaporator coil)
Put refrigerator into defrost cycle and note the defrost heater come on, or not. (careful heater can glow red hot)... Unplug Frige and test defrost components. Replace bad component... Refrigerator should defrost every 8 hours. when the cycle slows or quits the freezer will freeze over the evaporator coil and no air flow = no cold air...

If it's clicking on and off, replacing overload and relay that plugs into side of compressor may fix it.

For my Maytag Refrigerator Model # MSD 2756 GE, I had to hold the "Light" & "Lock/Unlock" buttons simultaneously until the "Change Filter" light went off instead of the "Water" & "Lock/Unlock" buttons.

your flapper door may be getting stuck check it

replace the microswitch

ok here's how it goes, first line from water goes to the filter then out of it to the solenoid vale, then it goes to either the icemaker or inside of the refrigerator to the resevour tank and the to the door.
