With the unit off, try spinning the fan by hand, use a wire or screw driver to reach the blade and spin it to check free spinning of the bearings. With the power on and unit running, try spinning the fan again, if it feels stiff with vibration, the fan bearings may be shot and if the fan takes off spinning, the condensor (capacitor) may be bad. If the fan feels stiff to spin or is simply dead, the fan motor is shot or may need oiling.

1999 dodge 5,9 diesel warm heat only

First thing I would do is flush the heater core with a 4 to 1 mixture of water and muratic acid. Put it in there and blow it out both ways 3 or 4 times. Let the acid mix set for about 10 minutes before blowing it out with air. This is a cheap fix, if it works. $7 and your time. Got to say though, it only works about 30% of the time. The other 70% is to remove the heater core. Dodges/Chrysler su(k. To get to the heater core, you have to drop the steering column, and remove the entire dash. Then remove the heater/A/C plenum to remove the heater core. Buy a manual to do this. Way to many hidden screws and bolts. This job costs about $800 at a garage. It takes about 8 hours to do, if you know what your doing.

Nordyne air conditioner

Ok it sounds like you have a split system heat pump. theres a board that you changed out,its possible it was the defrost control board...If that even was the problem. you stated the OD motor was replaced, it sounds like that may not have been the problem either.I would say take a garden hose and clean out the outdoor coil.. This is where the system gets rid of the heat out of your home. That's why the air is hot coming out of the unit. The fan might have been shutting off due to a safety switch that monitors the systems Freon pressure.Try to clean out the outdoor coil, shut the power off to the unit first and wash it out don't bend the fins up just wash it out and its probably really dirty after that see how its doing also make sure the filter is clean That will allow the indoor motor to move the air in the house easier! let me know

Duo-therm heat pump model # 630035-331 Unit compressor comes on but fan does not

Can you give us some more helpful information-- so we can help diagnose the problem:
Like-- what is the outside temperature?--

Have you been able to get heat out of your heat pump before, at this low of an outside temperature?

And which fan are you talking about-- the inside fan, or the outside fan?

Is the inside coil getting nice and warm-- or just barely warm?
and is there frost on the outside coil-- Can you defrost it, but shutting the unit off until the ice is cleared?

Let us know, and we'll better be able to help you to the next step.

Not getting cold air

1 Check that the unit still has elec. supply. 2 check overload trips to compressor / fan 3 check gas charge (is it leaking and locked out on low gas?) 4 possible pressure switch fault.

My a/c unit does comes on but it only warm air not

Make sure the outside unit is running, compressor and fan. Sometimes it is hard to hear the compressor over the fan. If the outside unit is not working check circuit breakers first. Set thermostat to call for a/c and make sure the contactor in the outside unit pulls in. If it does check capacitor for whatever is not running. If everything seems to be running fine hold your hand above the fan outside. The air coming from it should be hotter than the outdoor air. If it isn't get the refrigerant charge checked.

My outside ac unit is humming and warm..but fan not turning!

Souns like the compressor is running but the cooing fan is not. First you should see if the fan is blocked . Then see If the fan motor is getting power. If the motor is getting power it could be that the motor is bad. If the motor needs a capacitor to start that could also be the problem. Look for a cylinder shaped protrusion on the side of the motor. If these all check out then whatever tells the fan motor to come on is not working. Sorry but I cant help with that. Good luck!!

Fan whining and blades not going

Sounds like your compressor outside is frozen up or (locked up) the smell is outside correct? it could also be your fan also in your condensor unit outside the easiest way is to listen for fluid movement (if your freon is moving then your compressor is working and you need to lean toward a fan motor. check to see if you can move the fan blades in the compressor (outside ) if the problem is in the house then approach in the same way with the power to the unit turned off only If you cannot turn it most likely fan motor replacement is in order, and pressure sensors are not letting your condensor run. theres a few things to try hope i have helped .Honestly it probably would not hurt to let a service man look at it anyway, but this way at least you're a little wiser chris

Carrier Air Conditioner, cool air then runs luke warm air

Have you checked the freon level in this unit? If you are low or there is a leak it could be the problem. Hope this helps.

Goodman CK60-1C model central AC unit blwing hot air

Clicking sound is the contactor engaging to start the outside unit. Check for a burnt off wire at the contactor. For some reason you are not getting power to the outside unit. If you find a burnt off wire shut off all power to it then remake the connection at the point of the circuit break.

MY AIR CONDITION ONLY PUT OUT WARM AIR EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE OK FILTER TURNS ON OK BUT THE OUTSIDE UNIT HUMS BUT DOES NOT FAN

Sounds like a bad start run capacitor. The exhaust fan motor may be bad too. Be careful, this unit delivers 220volts of electricity.
