Yes the mouse do have battery. You can remove the cover of the mouse and change the battery.

All cordless mice have batteries. Usually you'll find a battery door on the bottom.

Try removing the batteries and leave it out for 5 minutes. Place the batteries back in and make sure that you hold the pair button and wait for the red lights to blink before trying to use it. See the link below for more detailed instructions. Pair Microsoft Arc Mouse Microsoft Accessories

My mouse was just working and all of a sudden it stopped, I changed the batteries, reset the small button on the bottom and also pushed the button on the plug in portion. Help Allen

I have a miscrosoft wireless laser mouse 6000, and it also stopped working on my laptop. I changed the battery, still not working. I tested the battery in another device, and it was good. I moved the mouse to another computer, and it did not work. The light on the usb connector was lit. [No changes at all to my laptop.]. It seemed like there was no power to the mouse, and I looked at the contacts inside the mouse. The contact just inside the battery opening appeared to be bent down away from the contact on the battery tray. So, I pulled it up a little so it would connect when the battery drawer closed, and (after tweaking it a couple of times), it finally worked!

Mouse just quit working, installed new batteries red light works

Normal 0 Make sure that the batteries are good then do the following.

Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

THE MFG MAY HAVE A CERTAIN BATTERY REQUIRMENT, NEED TO GO LINE AND LOOK UP THAT INFORMATION, DEPENDING ON THE MFG AND THE BATTERY COMPANY THEY WANT YOU TO USE IF YOU DONT USE THERE BATTERY REQUEST THAN YOU WILL END UP BUYING A NEW KEYBOARD OR MOUSE WHEN THE BATTERIES RUN LOW.

LOOK FOR A LITTLE PIN HOLE ON THE BOTTUM OF THE MOUSE ALSO EVERY TIME YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY YOU LOOSE THE FREQUENCE THE MOUSE USES, SO DEPRESS THE BUTTON UNTIL THE COMPUTER SAYS IT HAS FOUND A NEW PIECE OF HARDWARE, THAN THE MOUSE SHOULD WORK FINE.

GO ON LINE AND SEE IF THERE ARE ANY NEW UPDATE FOR THE MOUSE
