Question about Sony CDP-CE375 5-Disc CD Changer

Open Question

Sony cdp-335 5-disc changer carousel pops cd's off turntable tray

There's a rod on the clamper that is not aligned with its cutout space for it. So when the cd is being clamped on for spinning, this rod pushes the tray up near the edge of the tray, pushing the tray up and finally succeeds. But by then the rest of the cd's are popped off their recessess.

How can this be fixed?
Thanks.

SOURCE: Sony CDP CX 235 200 cd changer-cd's dropping off

Hi there.

I reckon that they are not being put back correctly by the loading mechanism! This is a common problem with these units. It is highly unlikely that they are actually falling off the carousel.

Open the unit, and watch it as it loads and replaces the cd's from the carousel. You will probably find that instead of grabbing the disc off of the spindle and putting it back, it might be grabbing before the cd is even in its grip. This then simply bumps the cd out of the way, and it will fall inside of the unit.

The good news is that it can be fixed with a bit of very gentle bending and persuading. But be very carefull when doing this!

Good Luck!

The CD drawer on a JVC EL-E3 CD Player fails to open/close. The CD fails to play when I physically close the drawer. The drawer does not close completely and needs an extra push to close it.

Sounds like the alignment is off. By physically pushing the drawer.
There is a motor on the side of the drawer that should control the drawer by pushing a piece of plastic back and forth. This piece can shift if pressed to hard. In the back of the drawer are the rods that control the top to drop. These need to be aligned with the side motor.

1999 ford falcon futura change steering rack boot

To replace the boot first you have to remove the outer tie rod end form the spindle asembly. You will need a pair of wire cutters to grab the cotter pin that holds the nut in place. After the nut is removed whack the spindle where the tie rod goes into it with a ball peen hammer and the tie rod end will pop right out. Do not hit the tie rod end on the threads or you will have to buy a new one. Now you have to seperate the outer and inner tie rod ends. There is a nut holding the two tightly in place and a notch in the inner tie rod end to put a wrench on so the inner will not spin when you spin off the outer tie rod end. Mark the threads before removal so you can put it back where it was adjusted before. Loosen the nut and spin off the tie rod end. Now for the boot. There are two clamps on the boot you need to remove a small clamp and a large clamp. With the wire cutters grab these clamps and wrok them off. The new boot will come with new clamps. Always replace the clamps. Now just slide the boot off. You will need to remove the lock nut to change the boot so make sure you mark the threads on the inside so you do not wipe the mark off when you remove the nut. Now just reverse the process to reassemble. Be sure to put it back where it was adjusted before. Make sure to use a new cotter pin. When you reinstall the nut back on the outer tie rod end it is important to tighten it about one turn past snug and line up the cotter pin hole by tightening the nut do not back off the nut to align the cotter pin or it will come loose and ruin the spindle. Not that was not so hard was it. Thanks for visiting the site.

Can't get the back of my watch back on

mcdevito75 here, Your Timex watch back cover should have a cutout in the back cover for the stem (winder) make sure this cutout is lined up with the stem the stem lies in this cutout, once you have it lined up, lay the watch down, crystal (glass up on a sturdy surface, Table, counter top etc. Now, with your palm and even, even pressure on the crystal (glass) simply press down, you"ll hare it click shut. Don"t force anything and if you still can"t get your watch back cover on, look for a small watch repair shop in your arear. It may take a special pair of pliers to get the cover on. Most Timex back covers are kind of hard to get back on.

Will not eject

The problem here is most likely a slipping load belt.

What is happening is that when a disc is loaded, the final stage of the loading sequence causes a magnetic "clamper" to clamp the disk to the CD table. The CD table is the part attached to a motor that spins the disk, If the belt has become slippery ( due to age and heat), there won't be enough grip to break the clamper grip and the disk won't be ejected. To fix this, you must dis-assemble the unit and remove the disc by hand. Then you replace the belt and you are all set. These wave radios are tricky to open if you have not done one before and because of that, this is really not a DIY repair. The belt costs around $5

Hope this helps,

How do you align shift linkage on a 1984 vw JETTA DIESEL GL

You have to remove the shifter boot and get an alignment tool, (VWPartsPlace.com), put the alignment tool in place, and from underneath the car, between the firewall and motor, in the center, you'll see a clamp attached to the shift rod from the shifter, loosen the clamp and that will allow the movement, back to forth, right or left to adjust the shifter.

Cd holder opening all the time

I don't know your specific model, but this problem is a common one. There is a loading belt that not only pulls the tray into the machine but also engages the cd onto the CD table with a clamping assembly. If the belt is starting to slip, it won't have enough grip to engage the clamper. This means that the load is unsuccessful and the unit will "eject" the CD. Have the loading belt replaced and all should be well.

Unable to pinch CD, when selection is made.

I may be able to help you. Is this the Wurlitzer princess jukebox which holds 120 CDs? If so, the problem is most likely with the clamper which opens and closes to grip the CDs. If so, email me and I can give you detailed troubleshooting information and repair advice. Rod Stebelton, [email protected].
