I have bought a compac presario laptop amonth ago, xp loaded, regitered on line the product asked for support from hp chat, no help still to be found, i have check ur site and solution given but still the prblem remains

2). eternet port not installed

Well i have the same problem with f733au. this lappy is basically made for vista. so if u upgrade to vista the problem is solved. well i ve not upgraded coz the vista is very slow on 1 gb ram. and also i ve purchased this xp os. may be i ll do it after sometime.
Why is this been rated as inappropriate? Just click on your Model F733AU and download the drivers to install them. I cannot install them for your. I feel this rating is inappropriate and should be retracted.

I see they don't offer a LAN driver separately. It's located in Windows XP. You might try the -> HP Update and HP Software Update-Critical Security Update <- ,under the Software-Internet Access heading.
I suspect you'll need the Restoration Disk. (I'm assuming of course, that you don't have this disk, as -> Many computers are sold without it. When you first get a computer now, you are advised to make a backup disk, the very first time you turn the computer on. How many of us do that?)
To the right on this page you'll see -> How to Order Recovery Disks <- in blue. I suggest you click on it, and order the disk.
I ordered one about a year ago. I didn't use the email option as it was too slow, I called them. MUCH faster! However this may be your only recourse, if the nearest HP Support Center is too far away, for you to call them. (Australia?)
The disk was free at that time. Shipping and handling did cost, though. $17 for a 5 to 7 day ship, $24 for a 2 to 3 day ship. (In the US)
Should you get the disk, I suggest you do a -> Repair, Not a Fresh Install.
You may also want to try using a free source, to download drivers from. I use DriversMax.
