My remote control on my 37 lcd tv will not work

I also had this problem.. Try this
Turn your tv off at the wall without putting it on standby.
Leave 30 seconds then switch back on.
At the side of the tv is a menu button, press and hold it for 15 seconds.
Now press the menu button on your remote control.
You should now be able to use the remote.

if that does not work now you can always try remotes.com for a new factory remote.

you might have a bad ir sensor inside the TV who knows but if a universal remote fails as well you going to need to replace the TV's ir sensor inside or clean its shield on the tv.
