My Magnavox 9P5511C102 color has faded any thing i can do to fix this?

It sounds like you need a replacement remote. :-)

Unfortunately, from what I've found researching this for you, you can no longer buy the original remote. However, there is a substitute available that should be able to perform most if not all of the functions of the original.

Yes the coolant in the CRts need replacement. You can get the Phillips CRT Coolant repair kit at the following link which contains the coolant and instructions.

TV needs CRT coolant replaced, once this is done the focus and color level of each CRT needs to be adjusted for optimum picture. expect to pay around $300 good luck, Julio at Millenium TV , Las Vegas NV (702) 736-1091 [email protected]

the most likely cause is the coolant needs to be replaced in the CRTs. Very common problem. You can get the Phillips CRT coolant kit at the following link which contains the coolant and step by step instructions. Its listed under the repair kit category.

I have the same Tv.. Repair tech said it was the deflection board. Cost $395.00 to repair.

If you have the following symptoms check the site www.TvRepairKits.com . They have a repair kit for this problem. 


Screen shrinks and expands - may or may not correct itself after the TV warms up. After a few days, weeks, or months of having the shrinking/expanding problem you may loose all audio/video but the power light will remain lit!

9p6031c has similar problem. Can we just change out the color tubes??? Who has them and how inexpensive can we get them???
