LE flashes after undetermined operational period. Checked for broken wires after removing front panel. No broken wires detected. The unit runs fine but stops in the middle or sometime in the quick wash cycle will finish the complete cycle.

When you receive the LE error code, unplug the machine for approximately 15 - 20 minutes. This will reset the microprocessor.
Oversudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. Oversudsing can also cause leaking and odor.
A breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause the error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire.
A couple of notes about this - there are at least three motors on this unit - the main pump, the drain pump, and the 'vario motor' which appears to control the direction of water flow through the sprayers. The main pump is the one likely to go bad. Another cause of the LE code is broken wires in the door. The wires in the door get stuck in the black sound insulation and eventually break. Sometimes, this causes the LE error code. Check the wires in the door first. They are located behind the large front panel. It's easily removed by undoing 6 screws.
Hi, LE code stands for locked motor error. When this error code appears in your front load washer it indicates a fault in the motor unit. 1 . Check the connections to the Coil/Stator at the rear of the unit possibly it should be something like a broken wire. 2 . Coil/Stator Assembly will be defective preventing the drive to operate. You should go for a replacement of that assembly. Thank you !!

This is very common problem with LG dishwashers. The LE
error code (locked engine) is not allways indicative of a motor
problem.
Simply unscrew the front door panel from the retaining screws on the
inside of the perimiter of the door. Once the screws are removed pull
down and out to remove the door panel. Remove the sound insulating
material and you will see several wires routed from the contol panel the
length of the door to underneath the unit. Inspect the wires
thouroghly. Near the bottom is where the pinching can take place. There
are two gray wires and if you have been getting the "LE" error code,
one of those wires is most likely broken or pinched. Splice, reconnect,
solder or tape and you're back in buisiness!

Wiring connection is OK? The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. The rotor of Washing Motor is locked. The Blade is locked.
Remedy:
Check the wiring connection. Replace the cause of restriction. Replace the Washing Motor. Replace the PCB.
LE means locked motor disassemble the filter and work your way down to the macerator(steel chopper blade) remove it and see if the side labeled "this side up" is really up, its in english... dont think the chinese labourers paid attention to the warning cause i have seen alot that were wrong way
You also should remove the door panel and check for a broken wire (usually the blue one)
If all the wiring checks out - it is most likely a broken or locked up impeller.

Try replacing the sensor assembly. Part number 6501KW2002A. It is on the stator itself where the 4 wire connector clips to. Only costs $17 + change & shipping. Mine works fine now!
