LE code flashing

My LG WM1832CW will no longer turn clockwise. The washer turns counter clockwise and then seems to try to switch directions and eventually it will stop and flash the LE code. Everything else seems to be working ie: water filling etc... Would this be a gear or a belt?

The repair man told me if your washer does not spin it is either your circuit board or stater that is the problem. In this case it was the stater. The stater has a series of magnets that cause your washer to spin in different directions. In my case, it seemed that they were fighting eachother, trying to go in different directions at the same time intermittantly. The service call and part ended up $299 cdn.

Washer was about 3/4 full with towels/socks/underwear.

Would do some fill and then give me error code LE.

I'm agree with the guy that says load exceeded - although I find it hard to believe - the salesman who sold me this thing used owrds like commercial duty etc. etc.

Unplugged it - took out half the load and now it is limping along.

This thing has no guts - its a whirlpool next time for sure.

Try replacing the sensor assembly. Part number 6501KW2002A. It is on the stator itself where the 4 wire connector clips to. Only costs $17 + change & shipping. Mine works fine now!

The LE symbol may mean Load Exceeded. I turned off the washer, flipped the circuit breaker, (you could also unplug) removed clothing from the washer, waited about 2 minutes and restarted the washer with no problem. This is the second time this has happened to me in the last year. Never happens to my wife??? Doh !!!

I fixed LE myself. Here's how: 1) unplug the washer (make sure door is not locked) 2) remove contents from washer and as much liquid as you can. 3) power the washer and toggle through the different wash cycles until it operates again. IMHO, I think the weight sensors (overload) trigger the LE code. This has happened to me 3 times now.

LG WASHER LE CODE

Fix for Error Code "LE" on LG Front Load Washing Machine
I just had an interesting experience with our LG washing machine today. I found some hints for the solution online buried in some user forums, but I thought posting my particular solution here in a less cluttered blog might make it easier to find.
I had just run a load of laundry, emptied the machine, and reloaded. I put the detergent in and started the machine. After sitting for about 2 minutes with no activity, a "LE" error message appeared.
While the online forums indicated this might be a problem with a sensor, I was able to solve the problem by doing the following:
1. Press the Power button
2. Manually rotate the hopper 4 times clockwise and 4 times counter-clockwise.
3. Press the power button and run the machine normally.
Don't know if this will work for everyone, but it worked for me. If I keep getting the error message, I'll have to call LG and find out about this sensor I was reading about.

I have a DE code on my LG Wm1832cw front load washer. This happened last weekend, and we found that the small drain hose in the front was clogged so we got the clog out and the washer has worked great all...

UE: Imbalance: Load too, small too large
OE: Drain problem took longer than 10 minutes to drain
FE: Overflow issue drain pump running to comp
PE: pressure sensor (sensor out)
dE: door error. open door. switch is out
LE (with a a slash in the
middle of L. Upside down F) Thermistor out
CE: Over amping Too much soap wrong soap
LE: hall sensor shorted/destroyed from sudslock
bE: Ball sensor loose connection/out of order
EE: eeprom out test mode only

What does the error code LE mean?

Might be a problem with a sensor, could to solve the problem by doing the following: 1. Press the Power button
2. Manually rotate the hopper 4 times clockwise and 4 times counter-clockwise.
3. Press the power button and run the machine normally.

If this dont work, the RPS sensor is on the rear of the washing machine, the error code LE is very common on these washing machines, the sensor needs to be replaced 99% of the time.

Depending on the selected program and which cycle is currently running, the PCB will tell the motor which speed to run at and which direction to turn. The Hall Effect sensor on the main circuit board is fed operational feedback from the motor. If there is any difference between what the motor should be doing and what it is actually doing - the appliance will stop operating and display an "LE" error.

Hope this helps.

Im getting an LE error code. What is that and how do I fix it? The only repair guy is either out of biz or just wont return calls. Thank you

LE error codes on LG front loads are usually caused by the filter being clogged. Remove the small door on front left of machine and remove the filter Some water will come out . Clean the filter and reinsert it and see if that solves the problem

My LG WM1832CW is blinking LE on the readout. what's wrong?

Hi,

LE code stands for locked motor error. When this error code appears in your front load washer it indicates a fault in the motor unit.

1 . Check the connections to the Coil/Stator at the rear of the unit possibly it should be something like a broken wire.

2 . Coil/Stator Assembly will be defective preventing the drive to operate. You should go for a replacement of that assembly.

Thank you !!
