Clock frequently goes blank and needs to be reset

I have a Hotpoint over the stove microwave model RVM1325WW003. Its clock frequently goes blank and needs to be reset. I reset the clock and it works fine for a few days but then it happens again. No other clocks in the house loose their time so the problem is not due to power failures.

You have a faulty display module due to one or more components leaking. Some models have a seperate display module that can replaced without the complete board having to be replaced. If not, the board needs to be replaced. You need to ask your spares suppliers that have info. on that model.

The microwave might have a small battery that keeps the clock running (if it has a clock). This battery might be run down and needs to be replaced, so it sends out a warning beep. Just a thought...

You must have electricity for that unit. The ignitors are electric and so are the valves.

GE spacemaker Power goes off and clock needs resetting

Try going to the breaker box and shutting off the power to the microwave for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, turn back on and set the clock. This fixed my clock and turntable both. Apparently turning off the power resets the software in the clock.

Oven shuts down after a few seconds into cycle time for cooking

The magnatron (heating element) is located in the cavity behind the control. If it's leaking microwaves onto the electronics, this will occur. This means the Mag should be replaced and a radiation test run on unit.

Maytag Microwave model MMV5165BA has error E-13

E-13 - T1 Max time error (oven did not preheat properly). PCB assembly may need reset or may be bad.

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work,leave it unplugged for maybe an hour. Then let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.

Otherwise, Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty.I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

Microwave power level

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a minute, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.
