Keep getting blue screen on gateway nv44 laptop

I keep getting the blue screen on the laptop and whenever i restart the computer, i still get it. It's ahppened every single day this week and like 5 times in a row each time. I always have to restart the computer like 5-10 times so that it can start working without the blue screen coming up.

This sounds like a problem for an A+ certified computer technician to look at. There are several issues that could be doing this to your computer. It would be impossible to correctly identify the exact problem without the computer being physicality in front of me.
hope this helps!!

My Gateway NV44 has become COMPLETELY in-opperable.

Couple things - I don't think that this is an issue with drivers. If your machine can't create or locate any partition it sounds like the hard drive is physically damaged. (Basically it is not even detecting that there is a drive attached at all.) They only have a life span of a few years (3-5 depending on use. This can be greatly shortened if your machine has ever been dropped, bumped, knocked off a table etc.) There is NO WAY a driver update could have caused physical damage to your machine, most likely this is just a bad timing coincidence that a piece of hardware failed at the same time as you were trying to do an update.

Without knowing more information I cannot be certain that this is the issue. If you would like further troubleshooting just let me know I am happy to try and help!

I have a gateway nv44 and it will on power on if the screen is in the right position. I have to hold down the power button and move the screen up and down until it come on. Then it works fine.

It sounds like you have worn, loose or cut wires at or near your laptops hinges. You need to contact gateway if it is under warranty or the purchase place if you have an extended warranty through them. If it's out of warranty you will have to find a technician that repairs gateway laptops or pay for gateway to fix it.

Netbook turns on blue screen appears but doesn't give enough time to read what it says and then restarts continuously

Hi there!
You can follow this simple steps so that you can determine the exact blue screen error that you are getting.
Start the computer and keep pressing the F8 key. It will lead you to Windows Advanced Option Menu (see picture):
fritzilog.jpg

highlight Disable automatic restart on system failure and press the enter key. It will restart the computer and will stop on the blue screen error instead of restarting your computer.
Hope this helps.
