PITCH CONTROL PROBLEM

Just purchased a pair fo these beauties and im having trouble with the pitch on one of them. when the reset button is pushed in and the light is on, everything works fine, but however i have no control over the pitch then, which for beat matching is essential. when the button is pushed and the light is off i am able to change the pitch, but even putting it up all the way, it still runs noticeably slower. any suggestions??

" when the reset button is pushed in and the light is on, everything works fine, but however i have no control over the pitch then"

This is how the deck is supposed to work.

"but even putting it up all the way, it still runs noticeably slower. any suggestions??"

This is usually a worn pitch slider, see here for replacement :-

The reset button disables your pitch control and allows the turntable to rotate at TRUE "0" (zero). FYI, these turntables were NOT made for DJing. They were made for radio, studio, and high end home use. They became DJ turntables, because they were perfectly built for the trade. So, the pitch reset button is more of a function best suited for radio stations or a producer who needs to record or play at a true zero speed.

Now, on to your question...

More than likely you just have to calibrate your pitch control. There are various videos on YouTube on how to do this properly. Just do a search CALIBRATING 1200s or similar. FYI, all the Technics SL1200/1210 MK series are the same inside. MK2, MK3, MK5 - so don't worry if you only find videos on calibrating MK2's or MK5s - works the same on all the models.

Good luck!

Audio-technica AT-PL 120 turntable speed is very very fast Like 100 RPM. Regardless of speed setting selected. Has not been used much at all since new.

This could be the result of pitch adjustments gone awry. Also, you may have both the 45 and 33 1/3 buttons pushed down which cause it run at 78. Here are a few trouble shooting tips and you can find the full manual for the TT at the link posted below:

Record sounds too fast or too slow. 1.) Turntable is set for wrong speed. Make proper speed selection for record type being played with platter speed buttons. 2.) Variable pitch is engaged. Depress quartz button or return pitch adjust slider to center detent position to engage quartz lock. Moving pitch adjust slider produces no effect. If the LED next to the pitch adjust slider center detent position remains green when the slider is moved, quartz lock is engaged. Depress the quartz button to disengage the quartz lock and activate variable pitch. The LED should turn RED

Open stanton str8 100s to fix pitch button

Are you talking about a pitch control that you turn left or right, or are you talking about a push button to select speeds? Two very different things. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

So i was spinning on my wife's stanton str8 100's and the pitch control button is stuck. how can i fix it?

Are you referring to a speed selector switch or a pitch control? When you say it's stuck, are you referring to a control you push on or off, or something that turns? For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

My pitch control goes slow when u push it up to - but goes even slower when u push it down to + is it nackered please help thank you Emmalene

You can try to recalibrate it by using the potentionmeter or 'pots' as they are sometimes called. There are two of them. One is on the main circuit board and one is on the pitch control. Either way you will have to take it apart to get to them.

Important*** When you have the platter off, do not hit the start/stop button!! This will ruin your motor.***

The easiest thing to do is order a new pitch control. They are relatively inexpensive and they are easy to replace.

The motor in the power head ran at a higher pitch for a for 8 to 10 seconds then stopped. If I push the reset button the powerhead may or may not start or it may start and run for a few seconds. The brush...

Did you check the belt? A broken belt results in lower strain on the motor, causing it to run faster resulting in the faster speed and higher pitch. This could result in overheating, which will cause the motor to shut off.
If this isn't the problem you'll need to take it to the nearest Aerus Electrolux store for trouble-shooting and repair.

GamePlay:

EA SPORTS PURE SWING SYSTEM:

The Strike zone is divided into nine colored squares. Red squares mark the batter's hot zones. Blue squares are the batter's cold zones. Clear squares are neutral for the batter.

Take unprecedented control at the plate by moving the Control Stick during your swing.

-The results of your swing depend on your timing, the location of the pitch, and the direction you move the Control Stick.
-For the best results, move the Control Stick towards the location of the pitch.
-To hit the ball in the air, move the Control Stick Diagonal Up-Left / Up / Diagonal Up-Right while swinging. This increases the chances of hitting a fly ball, but also increases your chances of missing the ball if the pitch isn't up in the zone.
-To hit the ball on the ground, move the Control Stick Diagonal Left-Down / Down / Diagonal Right-Down while swinging. Keep in mind that high pitches are very difficult to hit on the ground.
-To hit the ball to the left, move the Control Stick Diagonal Left- Down / Left / Diagonal Up-Left while swinging. For the best results, use this when the pitch is coming in on the left side of the plate.
-To hit the ball to the right, move the Control Stick Diagonal Right-Down / Right / Diagonal Up-Right while swinging. For the best results, use this when the pitch is coming in on the right side of the plate.

TO THROW A PITCH:

1. Press and hold the button that corresponds to the pitch you want to throw. The bar inside the pitch meter begins moving.
2. Release the pitch button when the bar reaches the end of the pitch meter. The closer your release point is to the end of the meter, the more effective the pitch is.
3. Press the pitch button again when the bar is within the green accuracy zone near the beginning of the pitch cycle to determine the pitch's accuracy.
-The effect of a bad pitch depends on the type of pitch. For example, ineffective fastballs are slower than normal, and less effective breaking pitches are flatter.
-If a pitcher misses the green accuracy zone by a considerable amount, an indicator (red for hot zone, blue for cold zone, yellow for ball, white for neutral) appears to tip off the batter to the location of the pitch.

PITCH SELECTION

Your pitcher's pitch selection appears on-screen. Not all pitchers have the same arsenal of pitches. A pitcher's four-seam fastball is always assigned to A Button. The remaining pitches are assigned to X, B, Y and R Button (though not all pitchers have five pitches).

FIELDING

-If you power up the throw into the red zone, you throw harder, but less accurately, which could result in an error.
-If you select to throw to either a base or the cut-off man before the ball arrives, the fielder begins his throw immediately upon receiving the ball.

NOTE: The CPU automatically adjusts your defensive alignment based on the situation. However, you can override this by choosing the infield and outfield alignments yourself.

EA SPORTS BIG PLAY CONTROL:

Using the all-new EA SPORTS Big Play Control, you can climb the fence to rob home runs, make spectacular diving catches, slide around tags, and more.

FIELDING:

- To dive or stretch for a ball just out of your reach, move the C Stick Left/Right toward the ball.
-To climb the wall to snag a would-be home run or jump for a ball over your head, move the C Stick Up.
-To make a sliding catch, move the C Stick Down as the ball approaches.

BASERUNNING
Timing is the key to a perfect slide. Use EA SPORTS Big Play Control to create havoc on the base paths.

C Stick:
Up = Head-first slide
Diagonal Up-Left/Up-Right = Head-first slide to the left/right side of the bag
Down = Pop-up slide
Diagonal Down-Right/Down-Left = Hook slide to the right/left side of the bag
Up = Dislodge ball from catcher.

Platter problem

THE PITCH slider or the variable resistor could have gone faulty. A new pitch is only $25 i think. They may need to salvage the pcb from your old one as technics no longer manufacters them. I've never seen the pitch led stay on lock when the actual pitch is not at zero. Hopefully the pitch did not short out the brake or the variable resistors on the motor's circuitboard.

keep me poted.
