C330 Won't acquire satellites..

My c330 won't acquire any satellites. I was working just fine before. Garmin recommends leaving it on for approx. 45 min. in the car whilst stationary to fix the problem. Didn't work. I tried to reset. Played with all the settings features. Entered different destinations. I drove around with it for a whole day, and still nothing. What is up with this? Same problem. The c330 worked fine in the car for about 2 months. Now when it turns on it works through the normal pages to the "Aquiring Satellites" page and goes no further, no matter how long I leave it turned on.

mymgarmin will ask if I'm indoors, united states and the day of week. I give the correct answers and it will not navigate, it just reads acquiring satellites. I tried turning it off and restarting again . I also did the reset button and no results. it says it is fully charged.

have you checked the chipset software (menu->system->menu
    button->software option).
if The chipset software version was set to
0.00 which means that the firmware update erased the chipset data.
get the chipset data manually from the Garmin website and it fixes your
    problems.

    1. Click on the link below and click "GPSMAP60CSx_360.exe".
Choose to save the file to your computer.
    http://www.gpsinformation.org/perry/gps6...

    2. Choose a location where you can easily locate the file by saving it to a location such as the "My Documents" or Desktop.

    3. Once the download is complete, locate the file and double-click on it. This will launch the Win-Zip Self Extractor.

    4. Click on the button labeled "Un-zip".

    5. Once the un-zip process is complete, click on the "Close" button to exit the Win-Zip Self Extractor.

    6. Open the C:\Garmin folder locate the file named 'Updater' and double click on it.

    7.
You should see the name of your GPS device next to the 'USB Device'
option on the Updater program window. Select the 'USB Device' option,
then click on 'OK' on the Updater program window to start the data
    transfer.

    8. Once this is complete the unit's operating system will be update to the current version.

Hold onto the power button and push in and release the reset button on
back and when the power logo comes up you release the start button.
Another reset for the satalite aquisition is to push and hold the push
in button on side and then push the reset button and release still
holding the side button in until the power logo comes up and that will
reset your satalite reception. Good luck.

    nstructions for a hard reset:

Hold down the power button, while holding, use the reset tool and on
the back press gently and release the reset button, when the Palm logo
    appears, release the Power button.

if nothing helps then your antenna is dead.

you will have to change it sir.

My garmin street pilot c330 won't aquire satillite. this unit is 2 years old, but never out of the box. i got it from my son and tried to set up. when you turn it on all of the data in the unit is...

Try connecting in your car and leave it on and let it charge while you are driving it may eventually find the satellite, it probably remembers the last satellite it found which was in Kansas. You may not be getting a signal where your are right now so run some errands and leave it connected in your car.
You can also go to the garmin web site and try updating the unit. You will need a usb cable and will need to install garmin updater. Make sure the unit is fully charged.
If this does not work you can call garmin and they are usually very helpful. Here is the garmin link which will help answer some more questions.

My Garmin c330 has difficulty acquiring satellites in my new 2009 Camry XLE. Does it have something to do with Bluetooth? Does it interfere? Ever since we bought the 2009 Camry XLE in June, the Street...

The C330 does not have bluetooth capability. Regardless, this has nothing to do with the unit's ability to acquire satellites. Nor should the type of vehicle you purchased, unless the unit is unable to receive due to some feature, like something in the windshield, which is preventing the unit from receiving a proper signal. Does the unit work outside the vehicle?

Aquiring satellites

Are you outside with a clear view of the sky? It should find satellites once the unit is turned on. Does it say "Looking for satellites" or "Acquiring satellites"?

If it is "looking for satellites" then it means that the unit have lost all data (time, date, location). If it is "acquiring satellites" then it have date and time, but not location.

Looking for satellites require a longer setup time (could be as much as 15 minutes). Acquiring satellites is much faster (not more than 2 minutes).

Date and time is updated from satellites once the unit gets a satellite lock.
