LD code is long drain, one of two things the drain pump is frozen and need to be replaced or there is somthing in the pump.Pull the washer away from the wall a bit and get a bunch of towels.Lean the washer back against the wall towards the middle in the back you will see the pump take it apart and find the clog.

SOURCE: ld error code on kenmore oasis

ld stands for long drain. If you can remove the bottom panel you will see the pump in the middle front which has a clean out you can unscrew. There is usually obstructions in the clean out such as a sock causing the long drain. When u remove the clean out cover alot of water will come out so a wet vac comes in handy.

SOURCE: i have a a kenmore

Had the same issue.

On start; Drain pump could be heard running. If it did work; towards the end of the cycle LD “long drain” would display with a beep. Sometimes, it would reset by leaving unplugged for >30mins (recommended to clear keep alive memory). Other times it took all night to reset {random resets explain why it works then doesn’t} which lead me to the idea of re-calibrating the pressure transducer.

TO PREVENT IT AGAIN,
The tub, drain pump, and pressure measurement cavity was VERY dirty; I now see the Manual says to run a Bleach Clean Cycle which I do believe will keep this from happening again

TO FIX IT, I did 2 things:
(1) cleaned the basket “big stainless clothes holder” by removing it from the drum
(2) re-calibrated the Water Level and Pressure Transducer; Test #6 page 12 of Tech Sheet

Checks:

  1. Verified pump was in spec. NOTE: out of spec is tens of ohms to infinity. E.g. if yours measures 14.5 ohms or 15 it is fine. This pump is nothing more than a giant fish tank motor i.e., not much to go bad.
  2. Verified the tank is indeed draining
  3. Removed the pump to make sure it was clear of objects and debris
  4. Ran Auto Diagnostics Tech Sheet page 2; it would not pass C7 to C8
  5. Ran Console Diagnostics to verify User Interface Board

Note:
(a) washer had no other stored codes; it only had the intermittent F32 which is LD “long drain” As said, this one has no F1 or F51 codes which indicate a main controller failure and RPS failure.

Tools
Two flat putty knives
7/16 socket
Multimeter capable of 0-20ohms

Know How
(1) Need to know how to lift the main washer cabinet cover from the base. If you look in the seam along the front of the washer where the top meets the front, there are a couple of release tabs located about 2 inches in from each side. The top is hinged in the rear.
(2) Remove the Tub Ring by releasing the tabs with a small pick
(3) Remove the Impellor Cap by gently prying with fingers. The Drum is held in with the 7/16 bolt viewed under this cap.
(4) Need to know how to read and run Diagnostics.

SOURCE: kenmore oasis he top loader shows LD error code.

Long Drain Ld flashes when the water level does not change after the drain pump is on. • Is the drain hose or the drain pump clogged? • Is the drain hose height greater than 96˝ ? • Is the pump running? If not, see TEST #7.
TEST #7 Drain/Recirculation Perform the following checks if washer fails to drain or recirculate. 1. See Activation of Manual Diagnostic Test Mode, and perform the Manual: Pumps test. 2. Remove the console to access the machine/ motor control assembly. See Accessing & Removing the Electronic Assemblies. 3. Visually check that the P4 connector is inserted all the way into the machine/motor control. If visual check passes, go to step 4. If visual check fails, reconnect P4 and repeat step 1. 4. Remove connector P4 from the machine/ motor control and check resistance values of pump motor windings. Resistance values should match those shown in wiring diagram, page 7-1. If resistance values are good, go to step 7. If winding measurements are much higher (tens of ohms to infinity) than shown in wiring diagram, a problem exists in the motor winding or in the connection between the machine/motor control and the motor. Go to step 5. 5. Tilt machine forward to access the bottom of the machine and the pumps 6. Check the resistance at the pump motor. Remove the connector at the motor and take measurements across pump terminals. Measurements should be as shown in the wiring diagram. If winding measurements are much higher (tens of ohms to infinity) than shown in wiring diagram, replace the pump motor. If the resistance at the pump motor is correct, there is an open circuit in the wiring between the motor and the machine/ motor control. Repair or replace the lower wiring harness. If the pump motor windings and machine/ motor control check OK, repair or replace the pump. Be sure to check the pump and tub sump for foreign objects before replacing pump. 7. See Activation of Manual Diagnostic Test Mode, and perform the Manual: Pumps test. 8. If the Manual: Pumps test failed, then the machine/motor control has failed: Unplug the washer or disconnect power. Replace the machine/motor control assembly. Perform the Manual: Pump test.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite Oasis HE top loader has LD error code

"F21" (AKA SD) is a Long (SLOW) Drain error (LD). If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be displayed. This may be an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1.First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2.
2.Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
3.Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
4.Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump.

Kenmore elite oasis top load error code Ld

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Ld means long drain and is displayed when it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out the water to a point where the pressure switch resets. To solve this problem make sure that the drain filter pump assembly located inside the bottom front panel is clean and after cleaning if the error returns then the pressure switch needs to be tested and if bad then it needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

The LD stands for Long Drain and it flashes when the water level does not change after the drain pump is on. Check to see if the drain hose or drain pump is clogged or is the drain hose situated too high.
