Orite camcorder hey there I have got a an orite camcorder but it came with a foreign charger I got an adapter & that didn't work. I was told it would charge from the usb pc cable but that wouldn't work either I now have a USB charger for my phone & I have tryed that but it won't work either I have taken the battery in & out & stuff this is a brand new camera & the people I bought it off are useless

I got hold of Canon support. I had the same problem. Got a new battery, fully charged and would not run the unit. Canon told me to do a system reset. pull out main battery and aux battery (bottom of unit) and to power switch to aux for 90 seconds. the put batteries back and it should work. Hope this helps.

The charging circuit requires an ac adapter with an intact sensing pin in the center of the Adapter barrel plug that connects to the computer. If the pin is bent or broken, the charger is disabled.
If possible, try a known good adapter from another D or E Series Dell Portable. If a KG adapter charges the battery, replace the adapter. If it makes no difference, then replace the motherboard

You need a camcorder to charger DC cable,it looks like a battery with a trailing cable that has a DC plug on the end that plugs into the Hitachi battery charger.If you are in the USA you should be able to buy one for about $8 to $12,if you live in UK you will be ripped off at about £24.

Its appealing simple; Probably you will be accepting sony handcam charger accepting a cable thats declared to fit into ur camcorder and again allegation the battery. For charging the EFORCE FH50 battery, you just allegation to admit that the of the aforementioned cable anon into the battery(DC-IN slot) and bung ur charger into the bank socket. It commonly takes 135 mins to absolutely allegation the battery. Once answerable the LED at tthe DC-IN aperture will about-face off. (During charging its yellow)

Camcorder has charging circuit but it could go defective. The repair would be costly so in this situation, you can purchase stand-along battery charger for around $20 and charge the batteries independently. This style camcorder has an adapter that feeds off of the battery charger...the charger plugs into the wall on top of the charger you place the battery and if you look on the front of the charger you will/should have an outlet that looks like two holes. This charger should have come with an adapter that looks like the battery only it is attached to a cord. You should than be able to open the battery compartment and insert the corded (battery) and presto it works...if you do not have one you can contact Sharpusa.com

Order the original adapter from JVC. The adapter supplies the correct current requirements to operate the battery charge circuit. JVC's web site is JVC.COM. The battery chargers that are included with JVC camcorders sold in the U.S. are designed to operate on power from 110 to 240 Volts at 50 or 60 Cycles AC. All that is needed to use the battery charger overseas is a plug adapter to connect into a foreign electrical outlet. These are generally available from a store which carries electrical supplies.

Disconnect DC power cable from AC adapter/charger. Battery charging will not be possible if the DC power cable is left connected to the AC adapter/charger.

If this is true, then why does the manual for my new PowerShot SD1100 IS say, "Do not connect compact power adapters or battery chargers to devices such as electrical transformers for foreign travel because it may lead to malfunctions, excessive heat generation, fire, electric shock or injury."

Is this just a standard disclaimer in case something weird happens by using a transformer to charge the battery?
