First try unplugging the machine for a few minutes and then retry a cycle. If you still get the LE error:

The Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in the US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble.

LE error on washer. What can I do without a tech?

The *dreaded* "LE" error is overwhelmingly caused or triggered by incorrect type detergent **OR** too much *HE* detergent (a special low sudsing detergent).
In all LG washers-when too much detergent has been used-this will cause the "LE" error to be displayed & the wash cycle will be interrupted. Unplugging the washer for more than one minute will cause the MAIN BOARD (computer) to power down and re-boot when the washer has been plugged back in.
On LG washers built *before* 2008-after several "LE" error events-the error *cannot* be reset by unplugging the washer. This indicates that the HALL EFFECT SENSOR has failed and will need to be replaced.
On all LG washers built during and after 2008-a more robust resistor was used in the HALL EFFECT SENSORS-which eliminated damage caused by higher electrical loads placed upon the sensors due to oversudsing. HALL EFFECT SENSORS virtually never fail in 2008 and newer LG washers but the "LE" error will still occur if too much or the wrong type of detergent is used. This will be "resettable" by unplugging/replugging the washer.
The CORRECT amount of HE (High Efficiency) detergent to be used is as follows:
HE : (2) Tablespoons Per Wash Load
HE 2X : (1) Tablespoon
HE 3X : (1) Teaspoon
USE THESE AMOUNTS RELIGIOUSLY-NO EXCEPTIONS-IN ALL FRONT LOAD WASHERS WITH 3.0 cu ft DRUMS AND LARGER

I have an LE code on my washer. I tried resetting machine by unplugging. I still get the code. I also tried running the machine without anything in it. It still stops and give LE code. What should I do?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall effect sensor is used in these washer which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when their is an issue with the motor or when the hall effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sesor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

ERROR CODE LE ON LG FRONT LOAD WASHER

LE is a locked motor error. Not to worry as 95% of the time it is just a bad hall sensor (the motor position sensor). For your model the part number is 6501KW2002A.

I Have an LG front load washer machineit leaked water and I am getting error code LE

le is usuaslly a bad stator or hall sensor at the rear of the unit.the most common leak on lg washers is from the btm of the door.if you see water trickling from the btm of the door. then the door latch needs washers installed between the panel and the latch .also ive had one or two that cleaning out the pump solves the problem, manufacture reccommends unplugging unit and waiting 4-5 min and plug it in , it may reset the board it has a lot of boards and electrical parts inside .

Le error code on my LG washer.

On LG Washers the code LE is for motor overload protection.
Ensure that you are not overloading washer, make sure to clean pump by draining at little door at lower left corner(check manual for instructions), unplug for 30 minutes to reset, now try running cycle again. if it fails again something else is causing the motor to work to hard and will require a professional.

LG WM2277HW washer LE error

I was also having the LE error problem. I tried removing the unpumped water , tried re-running the load etc....... then I decided to try something else.... just like we have to restart our computers, I thought about resetting the washer so to speak......not sure if it is fixed, I am going to try running another load, but, I UNPLUGGED THE WASHER, LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS, THEN PLUGGED BACK IN.... AND THE WASHER WENT THROUGH A CYCLE AND FINISHED.

LE error

In case you are sure that the washer is not full of suds or overloaded a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause the error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire, dislodged ball sensor. Try first to reset the control unit by unplugging washer power cable for few minutes. Good Luck !
