I have a dremel multi master that suddenly quit. my first one did the same thing I did kick the **** out of the first one and got my moneys worth. the next one died suddenly , wasnt overheated and used much less than the previous one maybe 8 hours of work on it. no warning just stopped mid cut like it blew a fuse or something. Any way of figuring out what happened and a solution to repairing it?

They do that a lot dont they? sorry all you can do is strip it down and see if there is a fault in it that an easy fix but normaly they just go in the bin when they stop working

I'll probably speak for most of the experts here in asking you to re-post with a clearer question. It looks like it's likely about a Dremel multi-pro 770, but there are a lot of things that could be asked about one.
My Dremel 3000 suddenly stopped working also. No idea where the receipt was so i decided to investigate. I found one of the two stator windings had blown. I'd Barely used the thing, so that's the last dremel I'll be wasting my money on.
Sounds like you have a voltage prob at the wall recepticle. Use a VOM.and check the voltage at the wall at diferent recepticles as you may have loose srrews. Loose screw on the recepticle can raise the ampraga and kill your unit.....
I would recommend going to Dremel.com and asking their tech section about this. I have one also and mine works fine other than a small amount of heat at the spindle area.
