Remember before you attempt this there must be no power going to the computer.Do you have a onboard video or a video card installed. If you do,where is the monitor pluged in?on the onboard or the installed card.If you have onboard remove the other card.See if you get video. If not check the memory.

Read out is partail (missing digits)

Read out is partial on the monitor?

Might be a one of a few things:
1) Bad monitor cable (replace)
2) Cable not plugged in well (check plug)
3) Video card is failing
4) Monitor is failing. (try on another PC)

If you try your monitor on another PC using the same cable and all is good, then I'd assume that your video card is failing. Requires replacing a video card. You might need a place like Geek Squad or a techy friend/relative to assist you. This isn't tough if you know what you're doing.

If there are still issues when testing with the other PC, then it's either your cable or the monitor itself. Try getting a replacement cable. If the same issue still exists, then it's your monitor that's going bad. If everything is now good, then it was your cable that was bad.

If this information has been helpful please remember to give me the appropriate 'thumbs up'. Thanks, and good luck!

FPD2275W (Black) LCD Monitor: I took my CPU to geek squad and told them it would...

Did you try the monitor with other PC? All the pins on the video cable OK?

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed GATEWAY monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Monitor (no signal) after replacing mother board and CPU

try only connect Monitor and keyboard, and check for booting (disconnect all the rest (HDD, CD DRIVE, Sound Card, Network Card, ....) then try connect one by one and always off to change hardware config.

If dont work with monitor and keyboard, try reset bios(jumper),check again, then replace memory modules (must be compatible to new motherboard), evan dont work, send back the motherboard for defective motherboard.

MY SCREEN ON MY LAPTOP HP COMPUTER IS TEMPERMENTAL AND WILL NOT GO ON. IT IS JUST BLACK. GEEK SQUAD SAYS IT IS THE MOTHERBOARD.

Can you try using an external VGA monitor connected to the laptop? If that works, then there is a problem with the screen and its connections. If it doesn't, then it is likely any number of things on the motherboard. Even memory module failure. This is possible since the monitor "borrows" some of the installed system memory. Do the simple checks first.

Gateway PC screen blank, geek squad diagnosis motherboard issue

You could replace the motor board for less than $100 but I think the geek squad says the motor board is bad on every computer that doesn't start right up for them so I would have someone else look at it first. Or just get a new computer at walmart for like $300

Processer fan comes on high speed at start up and monitor is dark

Hi there, you might be lucky
The dell dimension has a feature for diagnosing problems
on the back of the pc right beside the network port RJ11 are four lights if the pc is fine then they all go green, if there is a problem then they will show yellow or not light up at all please check these and get back to me.
The light on the front with the (battery icon) is actually the hard drive activity light, meaning that the hard drive is being constantly accessed may be important will know more from the lights.
