Your blinking light is most likely a code. Is it blinking 5 times - pause - 5 times? Count the codes for me, they mean something. If you let me know what they are blinking, I can give you an idea as of what the problem may be.Your blinking light is most likely a code. Is it blinking 5 times - pause - 5 times? Every set has a standby power supply that runs 7/24 when set is plugged in---it means in this case a main power board or something associated with that is not working, Set is not making it from just standby to full on.
In standby mode (red led on/after the led stops from blinking), press "Display", "5", Volume (-)", "Power on" on the remote control in sequence, self diagnostic screen will be display, let me know the what is on the screen to diagnose where the fault came from.
7 Blinks is the code for high voltage shut down and can be due to a failure in the horizontal deflection circuit. Since it worked before it was moved, i would guess that you may have disturbed a bad solder connection or possibly cracked a PC board. IF you feel comfortable doing so you can give a visual inspection of the board With the power off and TV unplugged remove the back cabinet. Slide out the board and flip it over to check for poor solder connections/cracks in the traces.
The power supply, and or one of the scan amplifiers has a problem.
I have serviced these for defective horizontal output transitors, and the flyback failing. When this happens, most of the time the power supply had to also be serviced. There are number of support components that can cause the failure in the first place.
The set will have to be serviced by an experienced service tech.
