This will reset the microprocessor of the player.
If you don't wanna send it for service, open the chassis of the player and free the CDs from the tray. Its highly likely that the CDs came off the trays and got stuck inside.
the L and 1 indicate the scanner carriage is not moving. Something is stopping it. Open the document feeder and turn the copier on while watching the scan carriage (beneath the main glass) - does it move or try to move ? does it make a noise? If it seems to be moving freely for a bit and then stop - is it going back to its "home" position (starting point). Remove the main glass and then move the scan carriage by hand (with the copier turned off) .. does the carriage move ok? check for a loose carriage drive wire or debris or something broken. Make sure the carriage locking screw is not holding it. Then turn the copier back on and see if the carriage makes an attempt to move back to its starting point. if everything seems to be moving ok then the problem could ly with the "home position" sensor. It could also possibly be a bad drive motor.
Since the cds are stuck inside, you need to open the unit and remove them. There are four screws on the top cover. Remove them (2 on each side) and lift the cover. You should see the cds, remove them, then plug on the unit.
Hello ph1l1p,
You are going to have to open up the unit and manually remove the disks from the carriage which I believe is loaded in a linear fashion.
Once the disk are removed see if the unitr powers up and test the functionality of the CD changer. The stuck CDs may be the problem, but if they are not, check the power supply starting from the fuse.
If you do not have a background in electronics please take the unit to a shop for repairs.
Thank you,
