Make sure all hardware is Windows 7 compatible and that you are using Windows 7 drivers. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Default.aspx
Initially open the device manager of the system in that you see the network adapters check whether the wireless device is listed there and drivers are installed properly.
If the driver is not installed install it by using the update driver option.ie by right clicking the wireless adapter.
If the driver is installed and not recognised properly means uninstall and update the driver.
If the wireless adapter is not found means check the bios settings that wireless adapter is enabled.
Check in the BIOS to make sure it is enabled (press F2 repeatedly during startup), and make sure that the switch (mechanical) for it is on. (Page 10 of this manual; you may want to download and save it)(http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/manuals/acer/0000/userguides/AS3600%205500-ENG-OLM_0609.pdf)
The fact that Windows 7 does not see it is indicative that it is either powered off in the BIOS or shut off mechanically.
Good luck; if you are still having problems, repost and we'll see what we can do.

Hi, 1. Try installing the driver manually via add hardware wizard and choose the wifi lan card manufacturer and install the driver. If not works then try with some other model.. 2. If you have some wlan driver, while installing it will be temporarily extracted to any location such as c:\windows\Temp. note this location, and try installin gthe driver manually and use option like "provide driver location manually option in new hardware driver installation wizard and point it to that location. It may work sometimes. I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks
