    All of a sudden this remote just stopped working and it's been in good condition. This all happened after we switched out VCR's. Now I can't even get it to turn the power on to the VCR. I need this VCR on this TV in my office because it's an older model and it allows me to get cable channels above channel 34. Help! lol!

I own this remote. Here are the instructions.
1 turn on your tv or catv
2 aim remote at tv or catv
3 while holding tv or catv button press 0 to 9 last ch 100/ent or channel
4 release both buutons when tv or catv changes channel.
note press tv or vcr or catv button first to select desired function

This remote control have no set-up code to Emerson Brand devices. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Hi,
Manual Programming:

1. Turn on the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Locate a 3-digit code for your device.

3. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) for approximately three seconds unitl the POWER INDICATOR illuminates.

4. Enter the 3-digit code for your device within 30 seconds. The POWER INDICATOR shuts off.

5. Press power button to verify correct code entry. If the device shuts off, the code was entered correctly. If the device does not shut off, repeat steps 3-4, using a different code.





Automatic Programming

With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until the POWER INDICATOR illuminates. The remote control is in programming mode.

3.Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on
indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

3. Press CHANNEL UP or CHANNEL DOWN repeatedly until the device turns on.

4. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

5. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

Hi,


1.Turn on the component to be programmed, such as the television or DVD player.

2.Press the "Code Set" button on your Hitachi remote. The button is often located near the top with the separate component buttons.

3.Press the button for the component you wish to program with the Hitachi Remote(TV,DVD).

4.Enter the manufacturer's code for the component being programmed. The manufacturer's code can be found either in the Hitachi manual, the manual for the component being programmed or on the website of the manufacturer of the product.

5.Press the "Enter" button to submit the manufacturer's code.

6.Press the power button for the component being programmed. Make sure the remote is pointed at the correct component, and it should turn on if the program was entered correctly
