Ok here is the best i have on this matter.
your question should have included a model #/make,only so i can givealittle more info. whenever your dispenser is not working 9-times out of 10 the dispenser has tobe changed. on some models you can get a kit to recondition the dispenser ,but to me its always better to replace the dispenser. replaceing a dispenser is not that hard if you have the no how. the door panel has to come off and the dispeser in some cases has to be unplugged from the unit. the dispenser normally has tabs that has to be snapped in and snapped out. after the snaps push the dispenser in the opposite way to remove and when you change go in the other direction. 1 tip the gasket can be lubricated to snap in easier. once you snap in plug back up and rescrew the panelthat should do it . if you need to have it service you can go to searspartsdirect.comand see the image and order the part at this site. call ten tech and askthem whats the price on changing the dispenser only .who ever has the best price and seems like they know what they are doing go with them. if this helps. send me a 4 thumbs up post thanks !

Cycle wash leaves marks on glasses

Is the rinse aid dispenser full? Then, you might need a better brand of rinse aid or detergent. Some lead crystal glasses can't be put in a dish washer but you have probably considered that.

The rinse aid dispenser is not adding any rinse aid. how do I unclog it so my drinking glasses don't come out feeling like they have sand all over them.

Good Morning friend, thank you for your post!
I see that you are having an issue with your rinse aid dispenser not adding rinse aid into your Frigidaire dishwasher. You may need to run hot water into your dispenser to help clear out any dirt or clogs within your dispenser. If that does not help I would recommend making sure the water temperature inside your dishwasher is at 120 degrees. If the water is not at the correct temperature it will not allow proper dispensing of the rinse aid. You may also want to check the filter at the bottom of your dishwasher to assure that it has been cleaned out and is not distributing dirt or debris inside of your dishwasher. I would also recommend checking the spray arms to make sure they are not dirty and spray water evenly. You can clean them out using a pipe cleaner. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Dishwasher cloudy glasses

I do not have enough information to be able to answer with hundred percent certainty.
From my experience, the most common problem is the improper handling of the appliance. Driven by overwhelming commercials we often pass from detergent to tablets. The largest number of tablets contains rinse aid that we already have in the dispenser. Practical adding a double dose of rinse aid resulting in poor washing results and glasses look like washed in milk. The solution is to open the dispenser and put the dosage rinse aid to minimum. In electronic dishwashers new generation is even possible to completely exclude the dosage rinse aid if you are using tablets.

GlassEs won't clean

Do you use a rinse aid? I've been using a orange grease cutting gelpacs in the soap dispenser and make sure to use a rinse aid in the section with the screw on top. I usually fill the rinse aid about once a month. The citrus gelpacs seem to make glass sparkle. I've only tried the "Finish" brand of gelpacs.

Ecomax 400 400-17 Glasswasher is not drying glasses completely. Streaks left on glasses

It sounds like the rinse aid has run out or is not dispensing. streaks on glassware is the usual symptom of this. Check and refil the dispenser. On the final rinse, open the door and you should see soap foam , which will let you know the rinse aid has ejected, or alternatively, if you havent had to fill the dispenser in a long time, I would say its not ejecting. these are not usually repairable and you will have to purchase a new rinse aid dispenser from the manufacturer. I always suggest usung " finish" rinse aid, its the best.

LG Inverter Direct Drive, at the end of the cycle there is a grey -white residue on everything, interior, glasses, pots n pans. We use Cascade packets and Rinse-aid. Please help!!

The packets usually have detergent and rinse aid together, built in. If you also have liquid rinse aid in the automatic dispenser, you are getting a double dose, and that is causing the film. Use standard dishwasher detergent until the automatic rinse aid dispenser is empty, or at least turn the pointer indicator (located by the rinse agent filler) to the lowest setting possible to help somewhat.

Jet dry dispenser doesn't work, gets spots on

If you are going to do the job, order part from searspartsdirect.com . they will give you the image, part # and the price. the door panel comes off and and the dispenser snaps in with tabs that you have to pry up and push either out or in. unplug dispenser and make sure you lubricate dispenser gasket. then reinstall by pushing in and listen for the snaps as you push in. re connect the plug put on panel and re screw panel if you want a service guy to replace tell him you only want a dispenser changed and how much willyou charge,if you ask 10 tech you will get prices .choose the most experienced and cheapest.

Spotty, filmy glasses

Even if you are sending it 120 degree water from your hot water heater, if the internal heating element has failed, your will get poor cleaning, including a film on your glassware.
Replacing the heating element will almost certainly fix the problem.
Good Luck!
