Razr V3 back light will not go out

there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.

The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.

I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.

If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.

There's a tiny magnet in the top of the flip, near the hinge.. try taking a small magnet and hold it over the keypad near the hinge, and see if it doesn't think it's closed, if that magnet didn't get put back in the flip, then the phone won't know it's closed.

the fault is not from the screen but from the flex that connects the screen to the phone's main board.

So you need to change the flex for your screen to light up again.

If u have a Razor (As shown in the picture), If the mini Screen Works(When you close the phone) then then make sure the push down button((Turns off the main screen when you flip the phone closed) is not pushed down while the phone is open.

First take the phone to a mobile service center and have them replaced your ear piece as well as the flexcable to correct these issues.

You forgot to replace a small magnet that goes in the upper right corner of the cover (when closed) next to the screen. Try to put a magnet in the circular hole.

yep i have the same problem too. no date display. it displays the date on the outer screen when i flip the phone shut. but not on the main screen when it is open.

It sounds like there is a loose connection in there or a button is stuck. There is a magnet that lets the phone know if it is open. It is located in the lower righthand portion of screen and the sensor is located in the upper righthand corner of the keypad. Get a magnet and play with it. What happened to it? Is it still under warranty? If not crack it open and see. There are numerous manuals online for the razrs. Only for the brave or stupid, but it just a phone.
