Steam wont install error 1316 - Activision Call of Duty - World at War for PC

Error 6000 is fuser related.
Broken fuser lamp error
=bad thermistor
=broken thermal cutout
=bad fuser lamp

check these items, if possible replace fuser unit.

Ensure that when you reinstall the drivers you start reinstalling with phone USB not connected to computer. That is a cause for error 1316.

Try also a replacement usb cable if you have on sometimes a bad cable can give you the error.

It would seem that your network connection failed during the installation.

Make sure you have a good connection before downloading the package. If you are using wireless, ensure you have a strong signal

click start
in the search box type in regedit
go to regedit
in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder find the software file
your should explore in there if you find it delete it from that folder
and all subfolders along with it.
empty your recycling bin as well.

This game requires Steam, so you need to install it trough steam. Download the Steam client, and activate your CD-key.
They made it, that you can't install it anymore without steam, because of hacks and updates.

the error 1316 message usually means a previous installation of a software is getting in the way of the new installation. It's kinda nutty that this would cause a problem, but we live in a nutty world. The fix is to download a free program from Microsoft that will totally and completely remove the old software. Then the new version can load unimpeded.
try to open ur local disk properties-->on general tab use disk clean up.. if that not work properly
need to try Download: Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from and run it to .u can download these here:

Let me guess, you have a Dell? Went to an online forum, turns out everyone who received the same error message all had Dell computers. Some contacted adobe, and they redirected them to Dell. Some contacted Dell and they claimed that they do not support third party software, even though it comes preinstalled in Dell computers. Here is a link to the forum, read on.

Have you uninstalled the previous version of Palm Desktop?

Do you have more than 1 profile on your computer? Sometimes multiple profiles can make things difficult is software is installed logged in as one and then you try to install/uninstall as another profile.

Are you installing Palm desktop from a disk?
