Error code F08 is indicating that the heater relay is not being activated.
You need to check all the connections on the module, the pressure switch, and the heater element.

SOURCE: whirpool duet washer - error code f35. shuts off

Hi, I did the procedure stated above and don't know if it solved the problem with the F35 error yet but I'm pretty sure it will. But, I did find a nail in the trap! I'm sure that was causing the error. However, I wish I had known that water was going to pour out of the trap. I didn't use the washer last so maybe it didn't drain properly and I should have ran it on the spin & drain cycle before cleaning the trap? Anyway, just a heads up to other people attempting this procedure. If there is a way to avoid the water running all over your floor, do that before opening the trap to clean it. Thanks for the solution, mstechwizard!!

Yes, it is a dispenser system error. The technician manual says to check the mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to top of dispenser.

However, in my case this page from whirlpool was helpful:
https://www.whirlpool.com/product-he...r-code/PH5260/

It says a common solution for this error (f8 e2) is:
The detergent drawer or detergent cartridge might be clogged with detergent. Clean out the detergent cartridge per Use and Care Instructions.
If cleaning the detergent cartridge did not correct the problem, please contact us.
For any additional questions, please call our Customer eXperience Center toll-free at 1-866-698-2538, Monday through Friday 8AM-8PM Eastern Standard Time.
You will be asked to provide the model and serial number which is found on the front door rim after opening the door.

So I washed out my dispenser and now it's working again.

I have 2 error codes on my front loading Whirlpool washer...F08 and E02...What do they mean?

well I'll just say it's the kaputnick gate valve located at the whirlpool headquarters since no-one else seems to have the same explanation for a single error code

Hi we are getting an f-08 error code on our hotpoint wf840, any suggestions? thanks

F08 is for the heater relay on your washer. You can try unplugging the washer for a half hour and see if that will clear the error up.
