HI. you are correct. this dryer, although gas, is using a Glow igniter system. most older models used the snap igniter that clicks over and over to spark the burner but, this dryer is only 2 years old so, it should be outfitted with a glow igniter system. This igniter is powered by electricity.

It works in conjunction with a Flame sensor.

There should be 2 screws at the rear of the top section. Remove those screws and pull the top backward and it should come off.

A timer motor advances the timer; if the timer does not advance, you can safely conclude the timer motor is bad, and replace the timer.

You say its a gas dryer...there is no element. Have you cleaned the lint trap. Is the vent clear of obstructions? I suspect one of these issues will be the problem

The front panel clips usually hold by friction. Just pull gently on the upper corners and it should hinge down.

Sounds like you might have the gas coils going bad. Not that expensive for repair, and parts arent that much either. Worse case would be a control board has went bad, but not likely. Gas coil part number is : 694539, and 694540. Also, you may want to check to see if the ignitor is glowing, that part # is 279311. Good luck and let me know if that doesnt help you.
