I have an older RCA home theater proformer amp has a model # of PA4500 I cannot get any remote to program to use it, it has no volume dials and you cannot control the volume without a remote and we have tried several unversial and none of them will work.

you can just buy an Android-based phone, and download a piece of free remote control apps as well as installing it on your phones.

Not sure what you are asking, as this IS the model number of an RCA remote for a Home Theater. It is no longer shown on the RCA website, as it is a little older, but it is a great device!

You don't say how the Samsung routes out to the receiver. I assume you're using its RCA audio L and R jacks. Inability to adequately lower volume usually means you're NOT using a Line Level input, but maybe a speaker feed.

Your TV may have a setting for variable audio out, but even if you use the fixed setting you should be able to lower the playback volume to something comfortable with the receiver's volume knob. It does go down to completely OFF, right?

dont know how to program the remote, but u can adjust the volume manually by using the dial. similar to an ipod if you move your finger clockwise around the dial the volume will increase, and counter clockwise will decrease
