Hi

Thanks for using FixYa.F9 is a door latch error, you’ll need to check the door latch. This is a Problem with door lock circuit such as pinched wire between Electronic Range Control (ERC) and door lock switch. You’ll need to check wiring and replace the door latch assembly if required.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F9 error in your oven/range indicates an issue with the door locks assembly and/or the door latch. To start with check the door lock circuit, you can also try to jump start it to see if it's working. If it's not working then the Electronic Range control has gone bad and should be replaced, if it is working then the door lock circuit should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

OVEN WILL NOT COME ON AND IT DISPLAYS F9. WHAT DO YOU DO?

Hi

F9 is a door lock error and to solve this issue you can hold the light switch for 15 seconds, this will reset the control. If it won't work then hold the light switch in and set the unit to clean and after a minute press cancel to cancel the clean cycle. If still it won't work then the door lock assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I tried to "clean" the oven and only got a F9

The F9 error code indicates a problem with the oven door lock assembly. The door lock assembly will need to be checked and replaced if defective. If the door lock assembly is okay, then the electronic oven control board will need to be replaced.

F9 is appearing in the clock window

HI. This will code is indicating that the oven door lock mechanism is experiencing difficulties. Check the wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong, or loose). Check for stuck lock switch, as well.If the wiring is not loose, or connected improperly, this will lead to a failed door lock mech. it will require you, ro your service tech to replace it, in this case.

Amana EvenAir Convection Plus Self Cleaning Oven will not unlock.

My oven was locked and would not open. No lock light was on but the oven was clearly locked. F9 error when I hit certain buttons.

Try this. I unplugged the oven for about 5 minutes. Plugged back in. A LOCK light came on. Held down "Oven Cancel" for a few seconds. Door opened and lock light went off. No more F9 error when I hit those buttons.

F9 code on stove

Here's what F9 code means:
1. Door lock safety circuit on ERC sensed Replace the door latch assembly
2. Door Lock Warning Check door lock circuit or Replace Clock
Try pressing and holding the door latch to unlock position and then press cancel for a few seconds. The latch should return to its original position.
