Anyone there? I have an old IBM web cam that won't load on my new computer (using VISTA). obviously need to download some software. anybody know of the software location and if it's free?

it could be that the software for the cam does not support the new upgrade..

maybe the OS on that hp lap is Vista:
well u need a compatible Vista Utility/driver for u cam.

You cannot grab the drivers from one computer and copy it to another computer, you need to know which files and also there would be some register entries.
If you have the driver disk, then you can use the same disk to install the driver onto another computer, provided they are identical.

Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows Vista device drivers for your model laptop,

After you download the driver file, click on this file and it will unzip/expand the drivers and copies these files to the hard drive in c:drivers... take a note of the folder it has created to store the driver files and then go to this folder and run the SETUP file to install the driver.
