I keep solving valuable problems under the motors class and it went down from saying 47 more needed to qualify as an expert to saying i need 35 more and now it wont go less than 35? why is it doing this? i answered 13 problems after it said i need 35 more, it should say 22 more right?

Hello again workhorsemo,

You won't see the results updated as they are solved. Don't understand why but don't let it get you down. Just keep on answering the problems and it will work out to your advantage. Looks like you are off to a good start.

Another thing...if you have any questions you can always ask [email protected] who is the community manager, like a a liason between the experts and the company. You can also appeal any 1 thumb ratings to her if you feel you were wronged. (It happens plenty.)

I have the Rheem 47 gal Short Electric Water Heater 82sv502 that is roughly 5 years old. I have been getting the infamous sulpher smell, I have drained it once and now am getting the same problem. Is there...

Use 2 pints of hydrogen peroxide instead of bleach.

1) You need to replace anode rod, and 2) flush water heater with hydrogen peroxide:
Following links have information and instructions for anode rod:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Replace-anode-rod.html
http://www.waterheaterrescue.com/pages/WHRpages/English/Longevity/water-heater-anodes.html
http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/video/0,,20047047,00.html

To find anode rod, see if manual shows image.
Some rods are hidden under metal cover of tank.
Some have circular plug located on top of tank.
Some heaters have 2 anode rods > this would be on 12-15-lifetime warranty tanks
Some anode rods are connected to hot or cold water nipples.

Post question on professional plumbing forum with brand and model number:
Look at label on side of tank for valuable information needed to post question.

Mcculoch power washer fhh18a

I am going to post this as a solution due to the link below but if you still need help just respond here and I will get back to you.

The motor does not require regular oiling as it has oilite bearings. Are you having a problem with low motor speed during use but still have high pressure? Please if you could elaborate on why you think you need to add oil to the motor I think we can solve the problem.

You can read this thread as to what to do: http://www.fixya.com/support/t4707030-shuts_off_when_high_pressure_wand_attach

Thanks for using FixYa.

No widow,s

i had the same problem, but the solution wont make you happy. you are going to have to reinstall windows. the EEE has a cool option. it has a separate partition on the hd to solve this problem. upon boot up press F9 (i believe look in your manual to make sure) it will take you to a screen with the option of formating your hd and reinstalling windows. i had no options and i lost all my notes for a class the week b4 finals week. i was sooooooo pissed. it happend all of the sudden for me, it asked me if i wanted to clean up my desktop i clicked on it and boom blue screen of death turned off and went to that screen that said i was missing a file to put in the boot up cd. w/e no need crying over spilled milk, i passed the class and now my EEE is running better than ever.

Followup on power connectors

Hi chweb1230, to answer you're question. Yes, I would suggest getting a power supply that would comply with the ATX main 24-pin power connector. The term backwards compatible references to boards that require less voltage, Ex; (A 20-pin main power board). If you intend to run serial ATA SATA drives & a PCI-E graphic card. The newer power supply will handle future upgrades. Suggest a 500 to 550W PSU should handle just about anything you add to the board.
chweb1230, when you make a post & are making reference from another post. Please copy & past that link into this post. If you are using a new user ID I can not look back & find what you are refering too.
