I have a MAtsui Digital Terrestrial receiver and can't get the Technika universal remmote to recognise it. I've followed the auto-scan instructions but don't understand what it means when it says "when the appliance reacts" how is it supposed to react ? What am I looking for ? How long does it take ?

Auto scan is for Terrestrial broadcast RF Signal Analogue or digital.
For HDMI inputs, you need to tune your satellite receiver or similar

Things to check;
Make sure your scart plugs are pushed all the way in both at the receiver and the tv.
Make sure the volume is turned up on the receiver and the mute button hasn't been pressed.
Make sure you have the correct av input selected on the tv (circle or square with an arrow on it on the tv remote control).
My money's on the scart plugs.

with a little bit more patiences i found a forum where someone had the info that I needed to solve more problem, but thank you anyway.

So Sorry, the tuner is not Digital.

pull the plug from the wall for one hour and then re install the channels on the installation just like when you first installed it

I actually moved my tele to the other side of the room to see if it would work in a different spot and it took me ages to get some signal by moving my aerial around. The signal still wasn`t strong and i didn`t have alot of the channels and then i turned it on a few weeks after and it was working perfectly. Don`t ask me why! :s
