TV went from on to nothing, but the power LED keeps blinking on and off red. I've been calling around to see if it is worth fixing. Some are suspecting it is a power supply

TV was fine last night when we turned it off, this morning it won't come on. Red light comes on and goes right back off, sometimes it will blink and then go off. We reset the breaker, nothing happened.

While watching a program my Toshiba HDTV Model 42H81 stopped showing any picture or sound and the power button blinked red until I unplugged the TV. A day later when I plugged it back to the power source the light still blinks. I called Toshiba support who had no knowledge or helpful information.

Same problem. Started about 4 weeks ago and seems to be increasing in frequency. Set goes off by itself and red indicator light blinks. I unplug and wait a few minutes, then plug in and it goes back on but will reoccur anywhere from 30 min to 2 days later. Too bad, like the size of this set and it fits in entertainment center perfectly unlike wide screens.

Red power light continuously blinking. no picture no sound.

It could be the lamp went out and needs replacement. The Toshiba website states when this happens to unplug the televison for 10 minutes then plug back in. If that does not work then try another power outlet. If that does not work then call for service

We just purcased Toshiba 26AV502U, now the screen is blank

Heard back from Toshiba. They said to unplug the TV, wait at least 3 minutes, and then plug it back in. This should allow it to reset itself. Sounded too simple, but after doing just that the tv has worked fine for the last three days! Toshiba noted that if this didn't resolve the problem we should contact them to have a Toshiba Authorized service person come check out the tv. It worked for us, hopefully it'll work for you too. Good Luck

TV turns on, but the only thing on the screen is Please Wait Thank you for your patience.

Mine did exactly the same thing. Sound went out then the blank screen and the message. I was told by Toshiba Tech Support that this message is only set up in the channel scanning area. He suggested a "soft boot" (meaning unplug it and replug it. Did that and nothing. Did anyone solve their problem?

Power light flashing/ no picture

I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
