Toshiba 56H80 56" Rear Projection Television Questions & Answers
Power light flashing/ no picture
I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
TV WAS WORKING FINE, TURNED IT OFF, THEN TURNED IT ONTHE NEXT DAY
Your tv might have a defective power supply, and/or convergence circuit. The initial cause of the problem, if it is the convergence circuit, is usualy a loose conection on one or two jumpers close to the convergence output circuits (STK392-1110), in with case this chips might need to be replaced and a pico fuse of 5A on the power supply too. I hope this help you.

Toshiba 56H80 Convergence Problem?
There are 2 large IC's in your set and one of them has burned out. These are called convergence output IC's and are usually the STK392-010's. A good idea would be to go ahead and replace both with the newer, upgraded STK392-150 IC's. A good tech can change those IC's in about an hour and a half, and when I do a housecall for a set like that I charge $150, but shops in your area will vary so be sure to ask around.
Screen Discoloration Problem
dJbsharp1:
Check if the cleaner you use discolor or remove the clear of the screen. Touch the cleaned part and somewhere else on the screen to see if is rougher than the part you didn't clean-up.
If this did not occur you can clean it up completely and watch the difference. If it's rough as I described you, a replacement will be necessary.
It is easy to replace. Very easy.

My Toshiba DLP Projection TV model number 44NHM84 will turn on but shuts off after 1-2 minutes. What do I need to do to fix this issue?
There are several reasons why your Toshiba DLP projection TV might be turning off after a few minutes. Here are some steps you can take to try and diagnose and fix the issue:
- Check the lamp: The most common reason for a DLP TV to shut off after a few minutes is a faulty lamp. Check the lamp to see if it's still functioning properly. If it appears to be damaged or has reached the end of its life (typically around 2000-3000 hours), replace it with a new one.
- Check for overheating: Overheating can also cause the TV to shut off. Check the fan to see if it's running properly and clean any dust or debris that may be blocking the airflow.
- Check for firmware updates: If the TV's firmware is outdated, it can cause it to shut off. Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates and install them if necessary.
- Check the power supply: A faulty power supply can also cause the TV to shut off. Check the power supply unit to see if it's functioning properly and replace it if necessary.
- Check the color wheel: If the color wheel is damaged or not functioning properly, it can cause the TV to shut off. Check the color wheel for any damage or signs of wear and replace it if necessary.
If none of these steps solve the issue, it may be necessary to have a professional technician diagnose and repair the TV.

I need a code for a Toshiba tv and I have a yk524-01 remote
Here are the steps to program your YK524-01 remote to your Toshiba TV using a code:
- Turn on your Toshiba TV.
- Press and hold the "TV" button on your YK524-01 remote until the LED light blinks twice.
- Enter one of the following 3-digit codes for Toshiba TVs: 115, 125, 136, 156, 159, 160, 170, 179, 185, 195, 204, 216, 218, 227, 228, 229, 231, 233, 235, 236, 238, 239, 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 250, 251, 252, 253, 254, 255.
- Press the "Power" button on your YK524-01 remote. If your Toshiba TV turns off, the code has been successfully programmed. If your Toshiba TV does not turn off, repeat steps 2 to 4 with a different code from the list.
If none of the codes work, you can try the automatic code search method:
- Turn on your Toshiba TV.
- Press and hold the "TV" button on your YK524-01 remote until the LED light blinks twice.
- Press and release the "Power" button on your YK524-01 remote.
- Press the "CH+" button repeatedly until your Toshiba TV turns off.
- Press and release the "TV" button on your YK524-01 remote to save the code.
I hope this helps!

Toshiba mod#65l621u.flashing red light 5times
The flashing red light on your Toshiba TV indicates a malfunction or issue with the device. The 5 blinks specifically indicate a problem with the power supply, which could have been caused by the hand control being dropped.
Here are a few steps you can try to fix the problem:
- Unplug the TV from the power source and wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in.
- Check the power cord for any visible damage, such as frayed wires or loose connections. If the cord is damaged, replace it with a new one.
- Ensure that the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into is functioning properly and has a strong connection.
- Try connecting the TV to a different power source or electrical outlet.
- If the issue persists, it is possible that the TV's power supply unit has been damaged and may need to be replaced. In this case, it's best to contact a professional for repair.
Please note that attempting to repair the TV yourself can be dangerous and may cause further damage, so it is recommended to seek professional assistance if you are not comfortable with electronics repairs.

Toshiba air conditioning unit not working RAS-13UKH-G
If the operation light is blinking, it means there is an error with the unit. The number of blinks can indicate what the error is.
Here are some common error codes for Toshiba air conditioning units:
- Blinking once: Indoor unit room temperature sensor error
- Blinking twice: Indoor unit coil outlet temperature sensor error
- Blinking three times: Indoor unit coil inlet temperature sensor error
- Blinking four times: Outdoor unit discharge temperature sensor error
- Blinking five times: Outdoor unit suction temperature sensor error
- Blinking six times: Indoor unit EEPROM error
- Blinking seven times: Outdoor unit EEPROM error
- Blinking eight times: Indoor unit remote control error
If you can determine the number of blinks, you can refer to the user manual to see what the error code means and what steps you can take to fix it. If you don't have the manual, you may be able to find it online or contact Toshiba customer support for assistance.

Toshiba TV remote P/N IT860000011 select button does not work.
In the event that the select button on your Toshiba television controller isn't working, there are a couple of things you can attempt to investigate the issue:
Actually look at the batteries: Ensure the batteries in the controller are new and appropriately introduced. Frail batteries can cause some issues with the buttons not working as expected.
Clean the remote: soil and flotsam and jetsam can develop on the controller's surface and disrupt the button's functionality. Try cleaning the remote with a delicate, dry fabric.
Reset the remote: Eliminate the batteries from the controller and press every one of the buttons to release any lingering power. Then, reinstall the batteries and take a stab at utilizing the remote once more.
Supplant the remote: Assuming nothing from what was just mentioned advances work, it is conceivable that the controller might be flawed and should be supplanted. You can buy a replacement remote from a Toshiba seller or online retailer.
Assuming that the issue continues even after attempting these investigation steps, it is conceivable that there might be a more significant issue with the remote or the actual television, and looking for proficient assistance might be vital.
