Well one would presume you could simply measure the bracket and the microwave, and ask a retailer for the dimensions of units with similar dimensions.

They may also have this bracket and be able to compare the sizes before purchasing your new one.

Not knowing the dimensions of either the bracket itself or the microwave, this would be the only solution i can think of.

What model would be equal to a sharp microwave model R1490

Chances are only an identical model will fit the brackets. Any new unit will come with new brackets. Just swap the brackets out and install the new unit

Over range microwave doesn't fit in the space outlined by the installation template

You missed something while reading the installation directions but that won't fix it. since you already drilled holes in the wall lower the mount down as needed then drill new holes in the mount to match the holes you drilled in the wall. The problem would have been worse if you were off left or right... up and down is easier. Remember you maybe just not dropping the microwave low enough to fit in the slot at the bottom of the wall mount before you tilt the micro up.. check it one more time...including the directions before you re-drill

Microwave doesn't heat

it may be just a fuse in the mains plug they do blow with old age,,,and there is a mains fuse inside the unit, plus others,, but there not normal type fuses so you wont have them, if its not the plug fuse blown then why has the fuse blown??? my gess is the microwave is faulty and this fault caused the fuse to blow,, first how old is this microwave???? and second
dont you try "having a go at fixing it" you could end up killing yourself,, even if the mains plug is out the wall,,,inside your microwave is a very big capacitor that holds lots of volts just like police stun gun's do
however this capacitor wont just stun you,,it will kill you,,so be warned if you tuch the wrong part and if you live to tell the tale,,all be it in grate pain from a hospital bed,, you may then ask yourself was it all worth it for a cheap fix??? so please play it safe
call in the repair guy or better still go out and buy a new unit and live to show it off to your friends,,
and im not trying to scare you,, im tell you as it is
warts and all,,, microwaves can bite you realy hard

Maytag: microwave and wall oven unit together - The oven works fine and the microwave constantly blows a fuse inside the microwave unit - is this a sign of a more serious problem? If so, can I buy a new...

Hi.. It sounds as if you have a Chassis diode that is failing in your Microwave. Intermittent fuse blowing can also be cause by a misadjusted door interlock micro switch. Also you can have the large capacitor inside your microwave chasiss that is occasionally shorting out from use. Based what you described here there is no need to replace the entire unit. Have it repaired as the cost of repair vs replacement are somewhat reasonable.

Everything works except heat

this is something you should probably call a repair technician for, due to the danger of the componentry.

My turntable stopped running

If you didn't buy the turntable motor then I assume you purchased the coupler ( white plastic/nylon piece that fits into the turntable motor collar and rotates the platen? Is that what you purchased?
