Samsung tv the tv is on but there is no sound it chips in and out on its own now there is no sound at all

Use a flashlight on the screen when it goes black. If you can see a faint picture then the board that controls the back light has gone bad. If you see no picture then the T-Con board is bad. The T con board is faulty. It is the board with flat ribbon cables going to the bottom of the screen. It is not hard to replace this board. You can get one from here:

Recheck all your cables & wiring in the area if DMD chip & board, sounds like something not connected properly.

Sounds as though you have a power supply problem. Check the TV cord for a weak soft spot to make sure the cord isn't cut or burned internally. Either that or the chip that controls the switch on and off may be failing inside the TV, in this case you may have to remove and replace the chip yourself by unsoldering the old chip and soldering the new chip if you are not electronically challenge.

It sounds that the remote control should be programmed once again with TV with its setup codes. Setup codes for Samsung TV are:

0105 0077 0076 0109 0007 0009 0004 0005 0085 0172 0942 0358 0012 0015 0080 0104 0106
Check these codes, and select one which have maximum functionality with your TV.

Check whether the lamp life hours are going to be out. Refer to its user manual for details. DLP chips fault is very rare; unless you have handled them very carefully. Check the lamp and BALLAST baord that supplies voltage to lamp.
