If total dead follow the money or in this case the voltage--start with AC into the power supply--its likely on input side of power supply as if standby was working you would see or hear something........at the bridge rectifier it will of course change to DC but that is just before the AC goes unswitched to the standby supply which has to be ON 7/24.

power def board is bad i have been trying to find out what exactly on the board is bad but have had no luck.
The color is split.

this does require soldering the ic's you have to change there are two of them plus sometimes you have a bad resistor or two and some bad pico fuses if you can solder and have a meter you could do it

There is a problem on the deflection board (BP94-00501B). I have tried replacing the flyback, both convergence IC's and the horizontal output transistor without any luck. I finally bought the whole board from encompass parts for ~$120. Hope this helps.
Power to unit but will not turn on.
You need to replace your STKs Both of them they are convergence ICs and do control startup. they are big black ics STK392-040 also ck (2) resistors-- RZ142 3.9ohms RZ145 3.9ohms .To order Parts Call Electronix 1-800-223-3205.
