My troy built briggs and stratton 22hp riding lawn mower when I engage it makes a clunk sound but the pulleys and blades wont turn

sounds like you have something stuck on the blades. if not check to see if you can turn the blades by hand all the way around. its possible the spindle bearings locked up. (with the engine off)

Two blade mower deck, bearing bad on right can I run with only 1 blade

if you do, you would have to figure out the new belt length and routing. It would be easier to just change the spindle. You could probably just replace the bearing but my guess would be the whole assembly would be about the same price on amazon. If you do change the whole assembly, make sure and keep your old spindle just in case you hit something and the caseing breaks.

I have Troy bilt Bronco 42" cut. The deck spindle fell and blades were on ground. Bearings still look good! What do I do?

The spindle bolts probably came loose and fell off. Look at the other spindle. Take one of the bolts (and nut) to the hardware store and get a matching set for the ones that were lost. Bolt the spindle back on - you should be good to go...

Troy bilt 17.5 hp Pony Riding Mower, only works in fourth Gear

The bearings may be bad and freezing up, this will cause the belt to smoke and tear up as well as make the pulley wobble . Does it smell like burning rubber ?? If not then you have a pulley out of line and or a pulley that's cracked or broken. Also check and make sure the deck pins are all in place and the locks are down on the quick release on front and side of deck. While the blades are disengaged turn all the blade hubs (shaft spindles) and pulleys to see if the turn fairly easy. Check for play or wobble in the pulleys and blade hubs (shaft spindles), bearings and blade shaft attach to these pulleys. Also check the idler pulley(also called the tensioner pulley for wear and check to see that they are in alignment with each other). It may be a bad transmission shifter plate bearing. Check out this link for diagrams of your unit. Hope this helps, plese post solved on fixya.com.So I get credit more info.for a solved problem if it does. If not, check back and give me

I have a troy bilt 17.5 hp pony riding manual lawnmower and my belt located above the deck keep jumping off track after engaging the blades a couple of times,do i need to tighte my belt,if so how?

Those units are self adjusting. No way to adjust it. It sounds like you have a bad idler pulley or a bad spindle bearings, which would cause the pulleys to be out of alignment.

Troy Bilt 34073 mower - stripped spindle-shaft?

Bet on it- you might try adding an additional nut of the right size/thread or several washers to utilize the remaining healthy threads.
