You need to upgrade your graphics driver,
Start in safe mode and uninstall graphics driver from device manager. restart the computer, and install new ones..
OR
go to BIOS and enable the graphics card, if it is an additional card.

I have a matrox millenium g450 DVI PCI graphics card but it is stuck on 640x480 or somewhere around that resolution so it cant display on my monitor, what do i need to do to fix it? I connect it using a...

Ryan,

Sounds like a nice setup you have going there, but the TV is going to be fussy about resolution. You need to plug in a regular monitor to adjust the resolution to something higher than 800x600, preferably 1280x720, make sure the screen comes back up on the monitor, then reboot the computer with your tv plugged in.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks.

I have matrox triplehead2go digital edition. Quit working.

Try a different USB port.
Have you checked the hardware in Device Manager? Look for Universal Serial Bus Controllers; check for RED X's.
Make sure all Windows services necessary for USB to function properly are running.
Google any errors, if found, Check event viewer for errors in RED.
Look for legitimate sites like Microsoft, Fixya, forums for similar hardware, Operating system and similar problems.

Matrox Millenium G450 lost settings when rebooted

Everything you described is consistent with the graphics card or drivers not supporting that resolution. Verify you are using the latest drivers available from the Matrox Website.

Matrox G450 and DX9 support.

The Matrox Millenium G450 is a DirectX 6 video card, so it doesn't support the features of DirectX 9, hence, there is no way to make it work. You will need to get a newer video card.

On Pwr up logo appears then LCD returns to stanby Black screen

I will assume the monitor is staying on during the boot process all the way until Windows loads.
If that is the case, then...
  • Start the computer
  • wait until the initial bios/logo screens for your motherboard go away.
  • Press F8 to get the Windows recovery boot menu
  • If you see the Windows Logo you would normally see then press rest and try again.
  • In the recovery screen, select SAFE MODE
  • Boot into Windows and uninstall your video card.
  • Reboot the computer the normal way through the start menu.
  • When your PC starts back up it should then reinstall the video card, and set itself automatically back to 60khz as default.
Let me know how you go =)
