hi, press the WIDE button on ur tvs remote for select the view mode. also check one more thing if ur connected a dvd player ,then go to its settings and select the video format as 16:9. do the same for the satellite receiver if it is there. ok
it is colour patches.many tv's are this problem set right one or two days automatically.but not clear it than you take a external degauging coil and solve your problem. thank you.
This is not a cheap fix, but call sony they know about this problem and have sent out new TVs to people who have had the issue, I have had about 7 out of ten people who call into sony get brand new sets FREE, so tell them that your optical engine need to be replaced at around $900-1300 and how old it is and the S#, they may not do anything for you but I would try, good luck

I dont get your question but try checking the degauzing coil if the picture is there but just has poor colour mixing if not check the video ic

The accurate number of blinks is very importent as 4 blinks is a different failure code from 5 blinks. Please provide the exact amount of blinks and I can give you a better idea.
