Blue dots on dark screen... yellow stain when lit up... Sony HDTV.. Can i fix this?

Sorry, but no. It seems that you got dead pixels on your screen. In this case would help only replacing the LCD, but its cost would be as big as the cost of the TV.

What does it mean by dead cells?

I assume this is related to your LCD monitor.
I think you mean dead pixels. The LCD monitor has tiny pixel elements, one for each red, blue, green color and each one of these colored pixels are turnes on by a transistor. When a transistor fails then the colored pixel it controls does not light up. This is a dead pixel and it shows up as a tiny black dot.
If the screen displays a blue screen, a dead blue pixel will appear as a tiny black dot in the blue screen.
You normally would not notice a few dead pixels unless they are grouped together.

Canon power shot sd1000 black dot on lens

If by saying the upper right corner of the lens you really mean that there is a dark spot on each image AND the rear display, there may be dirt or dust on the lens itself. Clean the lens with an optical quality cleaner. Do not use paper towels and Windex or the like - as paper towels can scratch the lens.

It is also possible that the dark spot is a "stuck pixel" on the image sensor inside the camera. There is no way to repair a stuck pixel outside of replacing the sensor. Any dark spot (regardless of source) can be edited out by using image editing software. This will allow you to to make the dark spot less noticeable - or practically invisible.

If the dark spot is on the rear display only, it can also be a result of a "stuck pixel" on the display itself. This should not show up an images, but only on the display. There is little that can be done outside of replacing the entire rear screen.

There are other things that can cause these problems, but those listed above are the most common.

I hope this was Very Helpful and good luck!

I own a Canon power shot SD790 IS and I've been using wonderfully for the past few months Last weekend when I turned on my camera to view some pics I noticed a little blue screen on the corner of my camera...

It seems to be a dead pixel, best thing would be to have it replaced from the Seller, else you can get it replaced with a new working lcd panel. This may be an expensive solution.Check whether you have a worldwide warranty from Canon, that will help you on saving costs.

Two blue dots on the screen

its sounds like the guns has burnt your yube, when switching of does your tv show a bright circle in the middel, or while watching. Smack your tv on the side while on see if the picture goes away or make a bright circle in the middel, this is caused by a bad solder joint but you wont get rid of the bunt pixels sorry.

A week ago I purchased a Canon Ixus 970 digital camera. When using in dark conditions yesterday, I noticed two bright blue dots on the LCD screen. I've switched the camara off and on again and have...

You could try taking it back to the store if the (what seems like) the dead pixels are "distracting" you or "annoying" and if you are lucky you might get it exchanged.

It partially depends on the amount of the dead pixels present as for an LCD screen to be classed as being defective 0.01% of all of the pixels on the screen must be "dead".

God luck if you will try to exchange it.

Green and Blue spots on screen

Sounds like stuck pixels, you really can't fix that. Do some google research if you are curious what a stuck pixel is.
