Lamp door is not installed correctly (not pushing on safety switch). Try to reinstall it. Or safety switch failed. In this case you need take whole TV apart in order to replace it.
Download user manual of KF-50WE620 from Sony Support and go to page-16 to 19 of user manual, it has clear illustrated details how to access and change the bulb (Lamp) in TV.
The lamp comes out the front. Remove the two thumb screws on the back sides to unlock the speaker grill. It will have 3 very tough snaps also holding it on. Once you get that off you will find the lamp door. If the thumb screws are stuck tight, try using a nickel to get turning.
Note - you do not need the entire housing, just the lamp itself which is cheaper. I just purchased a lamp on ebay at arounf $160 including prompt shipment.
